How to configure SAM Broadcaster for play your music on Second Life and Internet Radio

STREAMING WITH SAM

Install and run Sam

1.Go to    http://spacial.com/sam-broadcaster

2.Chouse try it for free and save the app in your computer

3.Go to location where you save the file sambc-fb.exe and run this app.

4.Chouse Next - I Agree - Next - Install - Finish

5.Open SAM Broadcaster app from Desktop

6.Chouse FireBird - Next - chouse Use default - Next - Next - chouse I want to try SAM - Next - Next - Finish

7.Maximize the SAM app from your taskbar now the SAM app window is open

MP3 File

1.Create a folder named Music on Desktop

2.Add in that directory minimum 10 different MP3 Song File

Configure SAM for play MP3 File

1.Open SAM app

2.In "Playlist" Window click right on Playlist icon chouse New and this create a folder New Folder

3.Click right on New folder chouse Add and chouse Add Directory.

4.Navigate on Desktop and chouse Music (folder when you put the MP3 File) and OK

5.In "Tracks in Selected" window select all file (click on first file and press Ctrl+a)

6.Drag whit your mouse all file in "Queue" window.

7.Double click on first song and this must play in SAM 8.You can hear the song now.

In order to stream your music on Internet Radio and Second Life you must have a shoutcast server

Configure SAM for broadcasting

1.Open SAM app

2.In main windows click on red x on Aux 1 windows

3.Put your mouse cursor on "Window" tab up in main SAM window

4.Chouse Encoders and position and resize the new window to fill the free gray space

5.On "Encoders" window click on "+" sign

6.On Select Plugin chouse MP3(Lame) and click ok

7.On Converter tab chouse Bitrate 128 kbps Mode Stereo Sampling Rate 44100 Hz

8.Next is "Server Details" window

9.Chouse Server Type - ShoutCast, Chouse ShoutCast v1

10.Complete whit server ip and server port (you will have all this information after you buy a server plan)

11.Complete whit password and click ok (you will have all this information after you buy a server plan)

12.In Encoders windows click right on first row and chouse Start You must see the status "Encoding" and done!All working! Open your internet browser and paste this: http://serverip:serverport you will see there the status of your stream and listen your music via Internet

Play Music in Second Life

The http://serverip:serverport address should be added to a parcel of land in Second Life so everyone on that land parcel will hear you play

If you own the land yourself go to "About Land". Click on the "Media" tab and paste the URL http://serverip:serverport into the "Music URL" field Close the dialog, and when you press play on the music player you should hear your own stream If you do not own land ask the Club Owner or Manager to change the URL for you
