I have been here 9 years plus. And i do miss SL of old. It was small and friendly, same group of people were at your favorite club, and you actually saw people you knew when you were out exploring. I can't imagine trying to make your way new in SL now. Bigger and many times the people but much more empty, and much less freindly. As for the changes, some have been good, some not so good but that is the way of all things. When they first rolled out place to place TP's (previously we landed in hubs and had to use the map and fly the rest of the way to our destinations) We use to come out of teleports stripped of all attachments, yep that means you were naked, then they got it to only your hair was up your butt after a tp. I mean that literally lol you hair was attached to your butt. but that was fixed. Casinos were huge, then LL shut them all down. Now they seem to be back with a lot more strings attached. You could IM a Linden if you ran across a greifer, or needed a sim restart. They not only responded but would TP to help. I remember the 1st flex prims.. hair just freaked me out.. micro prims were not common then and i swear some of the flex hair looked like the head of madusa. Then there was windlight, sculpties, mesh.. and a hundred other changes i have not mentioned. I use to pass my days building.. but i have no desire, nor the energy anymore to learn mesh. Better or worse.. I am not sure there is a clear answer.

Stuck in the stone ages are we jwenting?? Comeing from someone who is 6 months old? You apparenty base your very limited knowledge of veteran SLers on a very small number of people. Pathfinding HAS casues lag issues in world, and the only way to fix it is to optomize your region, Mainland is screwed, and anyone now wanting to chance SL' BETA view is not able too. Firestorm has this capeablilty and gee guess what it is NOT in beta. *gasps* i am a veteran resident and i use the most current firestorm. Mesh uplioading IS hit or miss, and marketplace has functioned badly since they "upgraded it" you only have to read the Commerence forums to hear the issues people are having, or simply use marketplce regulary to see for your self. I agree with everything braylasana said. But i guess i am stuck in the stone ages and maybe my mind is going. Grabs my cane had heads for my rocking chair.

Pathfinding Server Rollout Pathfinding is rolling out on all regions today and may have an impact on the performance of your regions as well as introduce some new bugs. INFO: What is pathfinding? Click here Pathfinding & Region Performance Once your region has been updated today, it will have Pathfinding running on it. Until your region has been optimized, this may have a performance impact. Linden Lab has assured me the impact will be at worst 4ms on main regions and 1ms on homesteads and at best won't be noticed. In layman's terms, this is around 18% max of region performance. In order to optimize your region, you will need a viewer with pathfinding tools; currently these tools are only available in a LL Beta Viewer. Your options will be to A) optimize your region; B) turn Pathfinding off on your region; or C) do nothing. Instructions for the first two options below... Note: Only Region Owners and Estate Managers can work with Pathfinding. Only Region Owners and Estate Managers can enable/disable Pathfinding on a region. Parcel owners can optimize their parcels on a Pathfinding enabled region. Instructions to optimize your regions: Download the LL Beta Viewer (Win, Mac, Linux) and go through the process of optimizing your region / parcel. Turn Pathfinding off 1. Get sim console open. Phoenix: Go to the top menu bar, Advanced > Consoles > Region Debug Console. (Press Ctrl-Alt-D to enable the Advanced menu if you do not already have it enabled.) I use the same system, have for years, support and upgrade ground to a halt over a year ago when Andy left, i stated in group chat that the system has not been updated in over a year, and is slowly self distructing and got thrown out of the group. The best part is i looked up the profile of the person who tossed me, and it stated that if people he ejects PAY him a fee, me may consider adding us back to the group. Friggin arrogant SOB. I don't think they current owner has the skill level needed to do any upgrades or repairs on the system, all the stuff marketed after Andy left is beyond simple. The box's no longer comunicate properly, and as you said no one seems to care, as soon as there is a system close to it i and many other of there customers will be gone.

i had problems with my, Nvidia Geforce GT555M 3GB GPU, major lag issues, but not the error message. I was able to fix it by right clicking my desk top >> NIVIDA control panel, and setting my graphic's processsor to NIVIDA
