Irritating notification

I keep receiving a notification which says "No media plugin was found to handle the 'text/html' file mime type. Media of this type will be unavailable". The notification is repeated 8 times on the left-hand side of the screen, and I can't get rid of it, There is no response when I click OK on any of the 8 boxes. Could you help please?

The easiest solution is to:

1) Remove all Second Life viewers using the clean install removal instructions for each from the developers website.

2) Using a quality product like the Wisecleaner Registry Cleaner, scan and repair all you registry links. - Direct download link: http://downloads.wisecleaner.com/soft/WRCFree.exe

3) (Optional) While your at it download and run the  Wisecleaner Disk Cleaner as well - Direct download link: http://downloads.wisecleaner.com/soft/WDCFree.exe

4) Install the official SL Viewer from this Link - http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/

5) If prompted by your firewall software as to allowing SLPlugin.exe permission to run, choose the always allow option.

The various SL shortcut links should be repaired and operating correctly now.
