  2. Tranquility.... The cyanide had proved to be too deadly. At first they had resided in a disparaging facility. Mutated sea life outside had tried to tear through with its massive tentacles but the chain link had spared them. It was the barrels, leaking cyanide. Many grew ill, perhaps even mad. They had no other choice, the group of survivors, some fell sick. A few tried to move on and make it on their own. They were wished well. This is when it was decided, with some discontent, that they would make their next destination a rumored outpost station. Packing up they moved like fatigued nomads, leaving their cars and many belongings behind. The admiral had crash landed when a portion of the landing gear stuck. It took quick repairing by the old, kilted engineer to fix before the elements killed them off. Now they could settle in. The next chapter of this journey lead to a near mutiny with a portion of them breaking off to find new civilization. Some would be missed. Some wouldn't. They had to keep moving forward. Recently, scouts had found an inhabitable planet nearby. It was beautiful. This group of space ranging bards would adopt it. It would be named, Ethos. Because music had been their only sanity.
