Hi, folks.
Firestorm does not recommend disabling security features.
Mac users have always needed to tell Gatekeeper to allow Firestorm to open (only on first launch after installation). The steps are documented on https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_mac, and for recent Mac operating systems they consist of about 6 clicks, taking about 5 seconds. To our knowledge, there have not been any Mac users who were unsuccessful with these simple steps--if they were done correctly. Any Mac user having trouble should ask in one of our support groups or file a Jira ticket with us.
Thanks,

Does this mean that changing accounts on, say, Marketplace, will log us out of viewer Search, and out of our Dashboard?

On my 2015 MacBook Pro with Retina, enabling HiDPI reduces my FPS drastically. Just providing a data point.

No need for a slider. It will allocate all VRAM it finds for textures.
Only the VRAM? Surely we can think bigger than that.

It looks like you're wearing a system body, not a Maitreya body... or if you're wearing the mesh body, you aren't wearing your system alpha.

One other thing I noticed today. Unless I missed something (long day, many bakes but turned out well) we can only see the new mesh info on MOD items.
I'm able to see it on no-mod items. Make sure you're looking at mesh, not sculpties. Also try ticking "Edit Linked" if it's a linkset.

I do love the new info on the build menu, BUT it does only tell you THE DISTANCE that the LODs will switch, NOT how they will look at that switching point. You can get an idea from the vertices count of course (also great to have), but visual testing is still the final test - in my book anyway.
Just above the chart is a dropdown that allows you to switch between LOD models, so you can see exactly how they will look when they switch.

Installed the new Firestorm, Firestorm 5.0.7 (52912) Jun 13 2017 03:57:58 (Firestorm-Releasex64) with OpenSimulator support on my desk computer and tested again on an opening -- a fairly simple one as it was the opening at the top of the stairs (so think of it like a window). The physics still didn't work (I had tried in the previous FS version also). The physics work perfectly in the SL viewer.
So for most purposes (at least in my tests), people using cube physics will need to use the Linden Viewer to upload anything that requires "walk through" including some corners until we get a new shiny model with the promised fixes.
For physics comparable to the SL viewer, you have to use the 32-bit Firestorm for SL with Havok.
