how do I get rid of a hovering search bar on my firestorm screen?

I have an Xcontrol tv I have tried several times to get it to work with my new iMac. Notecard says to revert back to older flash player but with the new iMac it just automatical reverts back to most current one pls help.

I have tried on more than one occasion to upload pictures to my new iMac. I get as far as the picture on the screen when I click the 10L to pay and upload it crashes. Please help. I use the latest firestorm viewer.
