I like your cornfield/crop circle idea. I do like that.... Caribou? ... has ponds and a barrel racing arena.
I'm hoping the eventual Ranch community center is a fairground, with an arena, food trucks, and buildings with typical displays of western fairgrounds (kids art, baking contests... ours even has a hay bale competition.), a bandstand, and rides (gotta have a ferris wheel and carousel).
A forested region or two with bridle paths would be awesome too - riding groups do have rides through the ranch regions frequently. An alternative to forests would be a typical western look: low hills with sagebrush and rock, meadowlarks singing...

Thanks, Sarah, that's what I thought... but not what I hoped, lol. Well, I'll see how much of that ancient stuff (pre 2010) I can delete first, and go from there...

Older posts say, "no" but thought I'd ask... I have a folder with 1400 items pre 2010... I don't necessarily want to put them all in the same box, but that folder has 20 or 30 subfolders (with subfolders) and it'd get pretty tedious to drop the contents of each folder into a box... I'll do it if there's no other way... but thought I'd ask before embarking on such a project (2024 is The Year I Fix My Inventory... hopefully....)

Big Sky would be a great ranch region name. Not sure if Paradise Valley already exists. Sage (or sagebrush) Flats, Chinook (or Chinook Winds).

Oh, I'd absolutely buy this. My Buffalo Pastures already has his external walls.

This thread reminds me..I'm used to people in RL often saying, "Back at the ranch"..
..meanwhile, they don't have a ranch, or even know anyone with a ranch.
It's just an expression!
My mother said it a lot.
If I remember correctly it is actually, "Meanwhile, back at the ranch". And yes, I still use it too but them I do have a little RL ranch :)

Unfortunately, I don't think it'll happen. I have a log on one of the largest lakes in the region (touches 3, I think), but no rezz zone. I put in a ticket requesting one, even suggested locations, and was politely told "no". I believe there was a reason but offhand I cannot remember why

Looks like lots of new ranches have emerged--maybe they will release them soon!
Where? I'm not seeing them (yet).... Oh, nevermind, I found 'em now, I think... and they are on the listing now, I see one person already has one.

Maybe try a flag or a weather vane?
Yes, I have both. It is OK, the tree has multiple options, I picked one that was deemed "in theme".

A tree with blue flowers doesn't sound like it wouldn't fit with the ranch homes.
It was *really* blue, lol, and I think even the leaves were (all the other color choices include green leaves). I like to have one bright tree so I can easily see my place when flying around.

I have to vent a little. What is it with people putting out helicopters and helipads on their Linden Home parcels? Are these really in theme anywhere in Bellisseria? I can derender in one viewer but logging into a different one means I am seeing them again.
Because they can? Lol. I suppose it depends ... Big ranches do sometimes have helicopters in RL, but I live in Wyoming and so far I've never seen a ranch heli... outside of the fictional Yellowstone of course
Take hope though, I know the moles are enforcing covenants on ranches, I was told my tree with blue flowers was Not Ok, and was told to get my trees below 15m or they'd be removed... so if the helis are Not In Theme, they'll poof eventually, one way or t'other.

I haven't a clue how to make my own, but I do always add the AVSitter experience as well, makes giving items automatic. Theres another experience I sometimes add, but I'm not on my PC and cannot remember.

I tried the Buffalo Pastures and the Silver Spur, and while I did get them decorated, I really wasn't happy with my efforts. I ended up happy with the Creek Stone. I prefer landscaping to furnishing anyway :)

About the content pack, is the landscaping elements included? I saw some really fine, like the Azalea bush, Aspen trees and the others by Ancient Mole. @Ancient Mole should have a store. ❤️
One thing I would have liked, is the gravel road patches. It looks so strange when it is cut off by the border. If I was living there, I would extend the gravel road to the front porch.
The gravel road texture is in the included texture pack.

I noticed that myself, and made some less smokey smoke... "chimney smoke for fireplace"... not sure if it is OK to post links to my own stuff...
And then I made some smoke specifically for the double stacks of the LH Ranch homes. Hope that helps!

Any idea why the content packs don't include fences or interior trim textures? Hope we get an updated pack!
I noticed this too, the fences thing is disappointing as I wanted to match them around my pasture.
The other thing I noticed is, while there are awesome chimneys on many of the models, they don't include smoke.
There is, however, smoke designed for those two-stack chimneys on the MP now.

Wish people would stop putting smoke stacks in the ranch homes, its gross, why smog up the blue skies?
Nobody makes nice smoke, it looks like the house is on fire!

Ha, no it was def not a space ship kind of thing.
It was a Zephyr, a free ... something... (steampunk sub?) from a warship maker at SL20B. It flew treetop over my place too.

I can confirm this, they were working on it as I worked on my place.

I grew up in California. Moved to Texas in my twenties. First time I ever saw a round bale was after moving here. I thought to myself, "Okay everything really is bigger in Texas!" So yep, I only saw square bales in California. Hey, who knows maybe the square bale is modern and the round one old school. lol
So, my last comment above made me do a quick research on hay bailing. Appears the round bailers are more modern. But the square bales are easier to store inside barns. So both are still used.
So I'm going to have to decide which hay bale to use in my new home.
As a current RL horse owner: It is cheaper and less labor intensive for a hay producer to put up round bales. There are plenty of "horse quality" options. However, I have "easy keepers" and can't just let them loose on a round bale, they'd get fat as ticks... so I buy "small squares" (two string) which generally weigh 60 to 70 lbs.
With the cost of producing hay these days, more producers are going to round bales, hope mine doesn't!

Bellisseria's 5th Anniversary Celebration!

There are digital photo albums at each of the community centers. I don't think any are at the 5th regions, which was surprising and a little disappointing.
