    In a nutshell:

You can't win anything at Helios, except credits for more games. (Someone will correct me if I mis-stated it.)

So, it's not really anything like skill gaming as we normally would discuss it (where there is "something of value" to win or lose).

This way, Helios is not really "competing" with skill gaming regions.

    Exactly,

I can only assume it is not scratching the same itch for most.

I'm in Florida, and did not know we weren't allowed in gaming regions (been in Florida 25 years, been in Second Life 17 years)..

Yes it's been years since we've been able to go to Gaming Sims in SL. I only know because I used to run a sim and loved having a place to chat with friends while playing games like Bingo and No Devil etc.

  3. I recently paid for some listing enhancements and I cannot track the progress at all because this page keeps showing up saying:

"So sorry to keep you waiting. We'll be right back!"

is anyone else getting this message when they go to their Listing Enhancements report in their Merchant Home? If I am the only one, is there something I could or should do at this point? The page says they've been notified about the issue and will look at it shortly so I am just here waiting before filing a ticket. I guess I am just wondering if anyone has run into this specific problem before and how long it took before it was in working order again. Thanks.

  4. Hi there,

I just recently came back to SL and have to accept this new Tilia terms of service. Upon reading it over, it says if your account is inactive for a period of 12 months, you will incur a monthly fee until the account is active again. While this bit of information was easy to find, I still have a basic question that is not readily available in FAQ nor easily found via search. What are the fees? How much will accounts be charged per month when deemed inactive?

If you have funds in your Stored Value Balance and have not made any transfers to or from or otherwise accessed your Stored Value Balance for a period of twelve (12) months, your Stored Value Balance will be deemed an “Inactive Account.”  Other forms of access besides a transfer include, for example, a balance inquiry or accessing your Account.  Unless prohibited by applicable law, we reserve the right to deduct from any Stored Value Balance that is an Inactive Account a fee in the amount of the lower of (i) the amount set forth in our Fee Schedule or (ii) the balance of funds in the Inactive Account (the “Inactivity Fee”). The Inactivity Fee will be charged each successive month for as long as the Stored Value Balance is an Inactive Account.

Does anyone know of a in-world group where you can ask where products are from by providing a photo?

I like to use the Fashion Emergency group. A lot of designers and well informed shoppers use this group. It is great when you know exactly what you want, or even if you just have an idea of what you are looking for. There is always someone to help provide solutions and/or great alternatives.

I am glad people can't snoop about your skin and clothing etc because sometimes I want to be unique and not have everybody copying me if I find a cool look. Just sayin'

I am somewhat torn on this topic... Because I do agree that sometimes I just really want to be unique and not have anyone copying me, but at the same time, I also want the stores and designers that I buy from to have great success and to continue providing me and others with quality products...

So while I do agree that it is probably best that people cannot snoop at our layers, if some stranger politely asked me where I got my skin from, for example, I would gladly let them know, and even pass them the Landmark. Because what are the chances of you seeing that person again, and even if you DO see them again, how likely is it that they will look exactly like you?

It just doesn't seem fair to the designers who spent countless hours creating products for our benefit, depriving them of potential business just for our own selfish gain....
