Keep in mind that Second Life is an open gl game, and that it is the opinion of many that Nvidia cards support open gl better than Ati cards.

The answer is yes, it does, every sl skirt I ever tried makes my butt look fat. Maybe the question should be 'why does every skirt in sl make my butt look fat?' (I am not talking about attached skirts, which can look very nice..)

So I guess there is no way to disable them. I don'y want to get rid of them altogether, but with all the odd options available in the viewers, I would think that a toggle for them would be there somewhere. Thanks for everyones input:)

Thank you, clever people, I did not know about clicking on the arrow. I do rather wish it could be disabled completely, as I don't have any use for this feature. I also wonder why some destinations do not show this arrow at all upon arrival.

How can I disable the red locater beam that shows up every time I tp somewhere? I have to constantly open the map, clear it, and close the map, every time I go anywhere. I have looked through the options, and searched and googled, but this stupid beam is always there, and it gets annoying. Please help. Thanks:)

How can you tell how many prims a piece of furniture uses?

I don't know if this has to do with what you are talking about, but at one time I could not see the prim count in objects that did not belong to me. The problem was that I had 'select only my objects' checked in the tools menu, unchecking it allowed me to see the prim count of any object.
