    Looking For Temporary Personal Assistant (w/ potential to be permanent)

    • This is a temporary job (approximately 3-6 months) with the potential to be permanent.

     

    • Must speak and write clear and fluent English.
    • Must have a dedicated SL facebook account, know how to post on specific group pages, and keep correspondence through facebook's messaging feature (75% of work will be done via facebook)
    • Your SL avatar must be at minimum, 6 months old.
    • Must have working knowledge on how to contact invidividuals, send notecards, add people to groups.
    • Must have a dedicated SL Gmail account, and working knowledge of Google Drive.
    • 5am SLT to 12pm SLT are regular business hours, you must be on call or readily available during this time. Most work is done and completed in the a.m., the rest of the day is usually updates. This will be expanded on during the interview.

    VWBA invites you to attend our monthly International Business Leader Workshop. This is a monthly event, hosted by VWBA, to expose second life to leaders of many business industries in the virtual space.

    This month we introduce Gabrielle Somersley, the founder and architect of Somersley Estates. The estates were established three years ago and continues to raise the bar for Second Lifes Family Communities in terms of architecture, design, production, leadership, company culture and a great approach to work and life. If you are an owner or lead a virtual business, if you want to begin a virtual business, these monthly events could be the key to your success.

    Virtual World Business Association: Marketing Coordinator

    VWBA is currently looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our staff. We are looking for someone who understands Second Life and how to navigate it. The candidate must also show that they have excellent time management, research, customer service, and writing skills.  

    The Marketing Coordinator will work on large promotional projects and day-to-day marketing tasks, helping to promote services, and events. We’re looking for someone who is a team player, very creative,  familiar with social media and online marketing.

    Essential Duties:

    • Develop and write content for all marketing and press communication
    • Draft website copy, news releases and newsletter storeis
    • Plan and host networking events, social events and promotional events
    • Develop and manage advertising plan (Ad Placement)
    • Book vendors for events and/or any marketing related activity
    • Execute and support VWBA’s social networking initiatives/campaigns or Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Linkedin, YouTube, etc)
    • Serve as contributor to the VWBA website (Minimum 1 article a week)
    • Send notices to group weekly


    Additional Responsibilites Include:

    • Booking all appointments for upper management.
    • Must attend bi weekly team meetings.
    • Must come to one management meeting a month.
    • Assist VWBA Manager with all job inquiries and hiring for VWBA.
    • Duties are subject to change, candidate would be expected to step out of their element when other team members need assistance.

    Retexturing Project: Seeking talented texturers/builders.

    Well we gave the builders rights to our objects and they didn't have a problem retexturing. There are some complications however, such as rextexturing windows that use more than one texture to simulate an open window and a closed one. The functionality to that window is also tied to a panel that includes other features such as turning on the fire place, locking the doors, setting renters and access lists. Even as owners we were unable to go in and change those because of the modification limitations set to the building.
