Very impressive difference!
Where are the settings in SL to enable SLI??
-
jjccc,
You mentioned that you have to, "tell them to run that way" regarding an SLI setup. How do you do that?
My concern is if the extra $500.00 for a second card will be worth the expense? I'd spend the extra money only if I could see a very appreciable increase in the graphics and performance!
Comments, suggestions?? lol

I'd like to thank everyone for their input! I'll be prdering the PC this week. :smileywink:

Thanks for the quick comeback Lellel. It seems a single high end Nvidia card like the GTX 580 is the most popular suggestion. That's what I'll do. :smileyhappy:

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum area to post this but I could find any other area that relates to my question.
I'm purchasing a new PC. I'm undecided whether to get the Nvidia GTX 580 (possibly 2 of them) or 'one' of the new GTX 590's. Also, do I even bother trying to have an SLI setup with 2 GTX 580's? I hear so many different stories that SLI is basically wasted in Second Life. By the way, I use the Phoenix viewer.
And while I'm at it, what the heck happened to these forums?? They'so so limited now. This is clearly a step backwards!!!

Why the heck did they remove the specific forums???? We're supposed to be advancing not reverting! This stinks! grrrrr
What is the latest (best) Nvidia Graphics card for Second Life?

I'm considering upgarding my graphics card. At present, which Nvidia card gives the best performance that's compatible with Second Life?
