Hello, all. I am trying to help a friend... she has been running the SL viewer 2 client for the last week and had no problems... until now. Now, when she doubleclicks the SL Viewer 2 icon to launch the program, nothing happens... it doesn't even try to load... the cursor flickers briefly, then quits. And if I look at her Task Manager, I don't see the SL application running. She is using a new laptop with Windows 7 operating system. She is running Xfinity virus protection, but it reports that SL is "safe."
The background: She is a computer Newbie and as a result, she thought she had to go to SL and download the software every time she used it... so the software was installed and reinstalled about 5 times (sighs). The viewer was working fine, though.
Things I've tried: When she called me about the problem, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling her SL software... didn't work. I also deleted her SecondLife folder in the AppData Roaming directory, but this didn't work. I also tried right-clicking on the icon and choosing the "Run as Administrator" option... that didn't work either.
Does anyone have more suggestions for this problem?
