Does anyone have any nice references that link to language schools available in SL? I'm not having much luck finding anything current while searching but I would be surprised if there are not semi- formal or formal language schools within SL. Just seems like such the perfect venue to immerse and learn a new language. I am hoping to start some courses in Portuguese and I'd love to combine learning with SL if there are options available within Second Life.

Has anyone heard whether the legacy surnames will make a come back at some point for selection or are they completely retired?

Thank you Pixels for posting this thread. I'm sadly not optimistic any improvements will be made just based on the last release of houseboats. The idea that residents have to watch forum posts to somehow catch an update or 48 hour notice of availability is not respectful to members. This cattle call type of approach to linden housing is sad and after a decade with no updates certainly should have been handled differently. It really casts a shadow over something that is really amazing. The new homes, houseboats and overall way in which the new Linden homes reinforce community is beautiful and just goes to show how amazing Second Life is and the investments Linden Labs make into this world. It's just extremely sad that in the process of rolling out something so amazing a large majority of the community is excluded.

How do you reverse it when you derender an avitar? I derendered a friend of mine and can no longer see him. I can't figure out how to fix it.

Thank you Quistess! This helps. Those links show in events and I've been searching forums and just doing google searches so I didn't see these and honestly did not think to search events, HA ... However, I can do some more event searches and then check out these places to see if they offer other languages as well. This points me in the right direction. Thank you so much!
