https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/EXP-772
The above is the link a more recent Jira, but the comments reveal no "fix." Only a note that Mac users should rejoice as a solution has been found is is being "fast-tracked" for release.
I hope I can be forgiven for not rejoicing with sufficient enthusiasm.

Yes, I get the DNS error message. The exact same error message I have been getting since applying the "update" to viewer 2.6.2.xxxxx
I am running Mac OS X v. 10.6.7
A "fix" that requires me to manually add DNS entries in my network settinngs is not a "fix." It is a work-around. It is a hack.
The fact remains that this flaw has existed in every "Official Viewer" released by Linden Labs since 2.6.2.xxxxx
My being able to apply a work-around does not mean the issue is solved.

That Jira is unresolved and closed because it is a duplicate. There is no fix posted.

Same exact problem here.
I have not been able to log in with Mac since 2.6.2.xxxx
I wonder if Linden Labs made an unannounced decision to stop supporting OS X
FITTED MESH - Tell me what you think?

Forgive me for brand loyalty, but I often make my clothing choices more on a "look" that I associate with particular creators than with the features of that clothing.
I do find that many (if not most) of the outfits that I currently wear do include at least a few fitted mesh items. But they were not bought for that feature, rather because I liked the way they looked on other avvies, or they were in a line whose look I already knew and admired.
So in answer to you question, but for myself only, I would say that making every single article of clothing you sell be fitted mesh would not be the best investment of your creative energy.
Thank you for soliciting feedback. I hope this helps.
