I have it turned on from my account and have never had a problem.  When the SL page pops up the screen to enter the authenticator value, simply bring up the authenticator app on your phone and whatever value is currently shown for the Second Life app is what you'll use.  Note that if the 'countdown' is close to zero then just wait until it changes.  It is only going to "not work" if you read the value from the app, enter it on the screen, and then the app value changes before you click 'Submit Challenge'.  That is why you wait, if the app countdown is close to zero.

I've done this, and still it doesnt work, if i fill in one of the codes in the second bar, then it says that i need to fill in the first bar, it's literally not doing anything when i fill them both in and they both get invalid code response.

I can't get the life of me how idiotic the multi-factor authentication can be, especially when you do it, a new pin code pops up every 30 seconds, and still doesn't work to this day, how am I gonna be able to be more secure in my account when linden labs can't even make the process easy? every other website and online game has it, so why can't linden labs do it?

There has been this person that's been hanging out at info hubs and claiming they are the leader of the green lantern anti-grief society team that has crashed sims to counter other griefing, and been abuse reporting people 25+ more to get lindens to ban a certain individual.

I do believe they should report people when they are griefing sims, but this person has also been abuse reporting me, and several other people that hasn't done anything, and yet,  they get perma banned from SL cause Linden Labs don't care about looking at in-game report tickets.

Is there a way to do something about this, or do I just have to report him? I'm really scared I'll be permabanned next since SL is my hobby, and my creative outlet.

Hey, so I wanted to change the name and all (sadly you cant only change ur one username.) but the names are so terrifyingly boring! Absolutely nothing really excites me or even want me to change, Please change them again, people have used HEXEM all over the SL grid, and NOVA is the one I'm seeing a lot too.

 

I'd like Sable, Griefchester, Deadwin, Dismay, or more darker creepy names.

Yeah but still, I've done a support ticket, and the linden staff didn't really confirm if they were "hacked lindens" or whatever.

Well the staff that responded to me was completely useless, didn't really give me a yes or no answer if the linden dollars were duped or fraudulent, all they could reply to me was "well if you are UNSURE then you should send the lindens back."

Of course I'm unsure recieving such huge amounts of lindens, anyone else would be, they didn't even bother to check if the linden dollars were real or not.

Neither people nor viewers can duplicate Linden $$.  People can obtain them fraudulently and that will get folks in trouble.

 

When I talk about L$, I'm saying lindens, when I say the Lindens (as in the staff) I'm talking about moderators, admins, or staff, I don't ever say they are lindens really, but I get your point, glad that you can "point out the mistake" where there wasn't any.

 

Anywho, yes, there are viewers and there are script/hacks to dupe linden dollars on Second Life, my friend achieved 500 linden dollars, and got banned after when she tried to spend it, she called Linden Labs and got herself unbanned by explaning the full story.

Aight, I did the support ticket, thank you! this was the most helpful response ever! I stated that I just want a confirmation if they are duped lindens or not.

And yes, duped lindens are a thing, people have gotten banned from it before, and some viewers/hackers on SL has duped lindens in the past.

Right, thanks, my other friend said that i should wait for two days before spending it, cause if it is fake, then linden labs will send me an email confirming ithe money came from an auhtorized source, so I'll do the both.

the best thing to do is not immediately think of a nefarious reason,  to think that it is a simple mistake and give it back to the person who gave it us. Who 99 times out of 100 will IM us and say: thankyou! so much

when we try to find the person in Search and they do not show up then we can help to protect ourselves by giving the money to Governor Linden and raise a Support Ticket saying that we got L$ from this person. That we can't find them in Search to give it back. So we gave the money to Governor Linden

this provides a paper trail of our involvement which Linden can check and because of which our account will not be at risk at all

I was just given 20k lindens, (from a friend, but I don't usually trust all people on SL, even the ones on my friend list.) and I got super scared immediately cause I was thinking "Oh no, I've recieved possible fake lindens, how do I see if its real? How do I go about this? will I get banned forever now?" I dunno, I'm scared, if the lindens are real, I'll be super grateful, but if they are fake, how do I KNOW completely that they are fake?

so there's this guy called daniel who comes to Nelsonia, and notecard crashes and sim crashes everyone at nelsonia, reason? there's no reason, he's a psychopath.

and i've been reporting him in like 2 days now nonstop with Linden Labs not doing ANYTHING about it.

How long does it have to take for someone to get banned fulltime? cause this is ridicoulus.

I have evidence, and I have videoproof.
