I recently purchased an animated bed for my Linden home. One aspect of this bed did not work. The merchant sent someone out to look at it, gave me the benefit of the doubt (This was a new/unique issue for them) – and not only replaced it, but gave me a partial refund.
The new bed had the same problem…however, when it took it to another sim (where there is an identical product) it worked correctly.
The seller suggested that there is maybe an issue with the parcel - settings, textures…I’m not really that knowledgeable.
We tested the lag – it was fine.
Do you have any ideas or direction?
Thanks!

Hi folks...I had a strange incident happen today and am hoping you can give me some insight on it, please.
I have a Linden home and recently purchased a hot tub for it. The HUD allows settings as to which users can access menus, pose balls, etc. The security options were set to Anyone Can Access.
While setting some poses, I clicked on the HUD and was denied access because the HUD was being used by someone else and identified that persons username. I do not know this person.
I quickly checked the œNearby People tab and the name did not appear. I then did a people search and located the person™s profile. Following that, I checked the front door controls and it was locked.
After that, I added Ban Lines around the parcel and also added the person to the Banned Residents list.
Have you ever heard of anything like this? It™s as if someone teleported in and then started playing with my stuff.
I haven™t confronted this person, yet at least not until I™ve heard back from you.
And...have I done everything I can do to prevent something like this in the future?
Thanks!

Usually I teleport smoothly with little or no drop. Lately I arrive at high elevations and crash land in the places I frequent regularly. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!

After a hard day of falling unceremoniously out of the sky, walking into walls, and being chased by furious residents with the words "œ(expletive deleted) Newbie" ringing in my ears in Second Life ...“ all I want to do is find my little sparsely furnished house and listen to some music -“ preferably something laid back -“ but unfortunately my humble abode is piping in some sort of high energy, pop/techno-babble in another language, which I'™m not very fond of (and I'™m being kind, here).
I have attempted to research this but was unsuccessful.
How can I find different music,or attach my own?
Also many thanks to KarenMichelle Lane for her assistance with the snapshot issue.
Thanks.
How To Mute An Avatar?

I thought I knew the answer to this...
Recently, we attended a dance club. It was very nice...very well done...except for one thing.
I realize that DJs must react to guests by thanking them for tips, welcoming them to the venue, and also responding to requests.
All of the clubs that I visit take care of this between songs, however, at this place there is rarely break between songs, so the DJs handle their responses by talking over the music. This is a very popular and busy club and as a result , the DJs are almost always talking over the music, which became a problem for me.
I had read that all I had to do was click the DJ, then click mute, and I wouldn't be able to hear him. Unfortunately, this only worked for a few seconds before the voice came back. I then blocked the avatar...and the got the same result...the vice came right back.
Is there another way to accomplish this? The info I found was from a similar request - in 2009. Wondering if anything had changed since then.
Am wondering if this has anything to do with the stream? If it matters, I use Firestorm Viewer.
Thanks!
