[inventory was (supposedly returned) but I do not have it anywhere (including lost and found folder),]

my inventory was (supposedly returned) but I do not have it anywhere (including lost and found folder), how do i get it back?

i had items on a friends land, that person failed to pay rent, my items are no longer on that land. the items are not in my  lost and found folder, nor in my inventory anywhere. this was several days ago (about 4-5). what can i do to get them back?
