[Why can't I get touch menus in one region, but can in all others I try?]

Most any other region I travel to, I can use touch menues and use the objects those menus are associated with. In one region, I can't do that. I can open scripted doors that are can register a touch, and other people see it as showing me using the menu, but I do not get a menu pop up to use.  And even odder, I did before, so I assume I hit something wrong and blocked it somehow
