  1. What happens to the items my customers have purchased over the years if I were to delete my avatar?
    Not only do I have to prioritize my Real Life, but even though my skill as a designer has only continued to increase, my sales are ridiculously low and frankly, no longer worth the time and expense that I foolishly invested over the last 3+ years. My concern, however, is that my deleting my account might accidentally "screw" my customers, and I would hate that.
    So, in a nutshell: if I delete my SL account, will the items that I have created and sold to other avatars disappear from their inventories? How does this work? Thanks, y'all.

I was somehow able to download and install the LL VMM viewer and have even used it successfully for several listings although I still have errors and it seems like the VMM 'likes' some inventory and 'dislikes' other inventory items, which doesn't make sense. the viewer itself is so bare bones though; there are almost zero options for wind/light/environment (get ready to be stuck in "Midday" if you want any kind of decent visibility. And, 100% of the time regardless of how my graphics are set, none of my mesh bodies or mesh body parts look correct (all dark and blotchy and yes I have both bump mapping & hardware skinning enabled) so it's impossible to take decent in-world pictures. 
    I'm a designer/ merchant. If I can't take any decent product images, I cannot sell anything. 

    Come on, Singularity! Hurry up, Firestorm! We're drowning over here.

    If you ever have a similar issue, feel free to IM me; I'd be happy to help you get an alpha that will make your purchase work, even if I have to make one from scratch for you. 

    It won't be the first time or the last; some of the FP mesh makers that I buy from on the regular sometimes have alpha issues, and I'm always happy to send them my full-perm corrected version, to help everyone out. It's no biggie. 

  4. I've recently chosen two listing enhancements @ $899L each 7-day spot to have two items appear on the home page. One of them shows up in the listing enhancement report in "Merchant Home/ Reports" and the other does not. No matter how many times I go to the Marketplace homepage, though, I have yet to see either even one singular time. This makes me feel as though I may have been cheated. How is a merchant who purchases this alleged help supposed to know that it's truly being seen by anyone if I can't even see the enhanced listing myself? Suffice it to say, I do NOT feel encouraged to ever, ever pay for this so-called promotion ever again and feel like I've just thrown nearly $2K in Linden$ down the drain. 

    Anyone with better information on how I can track and view legitimate results and a good, solid reason as to why I can't see my own supposedly-prioritized listings on ANY home-page landing of my own, please... I'm all ears. Thanks.

    Yep, bought the same dress and have the same problem. the alpha does not load, since I have no idea how to make an alpha and I tried all the alphas I have in my inventory, none worked, I just trashed it. I have no time or patience for something that is supposed to work and does not. Good lesson, here. I don't think I'll be buying anything from there for awhile.

    Please tell me that you did, in fact, contact the seller to give he/she the opportunity to fix and replace the alpha for you before trashing the entire purchase. Not only is each one of us a flawed human being, this is SL for crying out loud. How on earth can a mistake be fixed if you do NOT bring it to the seller's attention? Seriously.

    Once I cleared my viewer's cache, I was able to place my order and I'm about to log in and unpack now; thank you so much! I am going to totally keep this in mind for the next time this happens. You guys ROCK!!! :matte-motes-big-grin:

I just now tried to use the "buy now" feature instead and received the exact same error: the screen appears to go into perpetual white screen and eventually I get "Server Error" again and am unable to do 100% of anything in the marketplace other than look at what I am unable to buy. Thank you for the suggestion but sadly it did not work. 

  8. I am unable to file a bug report because it does not let me sign in to the bug tracker. So I am screwed, save being able to say something here about the issue.

    1) I can't sign in to the bug tracker! It will NOT let me sign in and I am therefore rendered 100% disabled from reporting this vile issue. 

    2) I am incapable of placing any kind of order in the marketplace. When I go to perform the purchase transaction from my Marketplace shopping cart, I get a message "Server Error" and am unable to execute any transactions. 

     

    Solutions???? I'd really like to be able to spend my money. 

  9. Thank you for the help as I didn't know where to find it. I've filed a bug report and am going to relist my sale items, save those for benefit, sadly, until (unless) the issue is finally resolved.

  10. My MarketPlace store is having hardcore problems and there is ZERO support. I found contact information for LindenLabs if I want to contact them about something other than SecondLife. Other than that, it's "good luck" since the wiki ONLY covers legalities and only the very, very basic aspects of using the Marketplace, NONE of which I have issue with.

    What I DO have an issue with, in the Marketplace is: The distributions of funds to another avatar are NOT being sent. There's an SL designer with advanced breast cancer, and I listed several things with 100% distributions to be sent directly to her. After a couple of weeks and seeing that a few of these items sold, I was informed today that she IS NOT receiving anything. YES, the avatar name is spelled correctly. YES, I 'updated' the listing after entering this information. 

     

    SInce LindenLabs has deliberately made themselves UNREACHABLE and refuses to post any "helpful" information about ANYTHING other than 'marketplace 101', are there any SL-ers who are able to help? My store's offline til this is resolved, I'll not bother; it SICKENS me that I've been accused of FRAUD because of LINDEN LABS' eggregious errors!!!!!!!!!!:womanmad:

  11. I have several (now inactive) listings for SL clothing and -attempted- to use the distributions to send 100% of the proceeds to a specific avatar (someone who's battling cancer IRL). However, I've just been told that she has not received one single $Linden from any of those sales and I am horrified!!! I verified each listing, and they each have her name (and I've verified that the avatar name IS correct). Now I know that I cannot trust the Marketplace at ALL. Here's the question, how do I report this issue? Thanks.
