[cant get passed initializing vfs after new win 10 update]

I jumped on this thread because I'm  finding a total cpu freeze   just after log in with a fairly new win 10 device.  Had been using  RLV  viewer, 

Uninstalled and reinstalled viewer several times,  no improvement and finally installed  Linden SL  and still isn't working 

Ran internal memory  diagnostics  no  joy there.  I'm able to get on  with an older  win 7 pro  device, but it has some pauses inworld.

[where to find power ray beam for a wizard]

I have noticed some avatars have  power ray beams  and  blast kisses  and  other  such peculiar  talents and do not know where to find them.

Any hints?
