[Is there a way to pay for 2 sims separately but join them for a group land?]

We want to build a larger Gorean land but 1 sim is just not big enough. Unfortunately, the current owner of the sim doesnt have enough money to pay for a 2nd, so someone else has stepped up and offered to pay for the 2nd sim. The only reason they are hesitating is whether they will be able to use them together. If the sims are side-by-side, one sim being paid by one person, the other sim being paid for by the other person, both will be under our group name. Will this work? They are looking for information before jumping into something like this...

I tried to transfer L to US $ and on secondlife it says it transferred 12 days ago, but paypal is saying it didnt get it. who do i contact about this?
