[why i can hear anything in world but people voice ?]

I am having the same problem. 

I have tried,  the official viewer, firestorm and phoenix

cleared cache mulitiple times

even deleteed and re-installed the viewers

and all I get is notices that it is constantly re-conecting to voice,  then a few seconds of voice

this repeats for a few minutes then it locks up and I have no more voice at all

yet....I still have all other sounds
