thank you for trying to help. But this seems not to be my problem in the contact list , there is a column called: "friends can see when your're online". once I use this option, I can't use it again, it freezed, and can't be used.

"checking" means putting the "v" sign in the small square, or erasing this sign.

When you want to inform a friend, which is in your contat list, that you are online, you put the sign in the small square, at the right side of his name.

After checking a friend, in my contact list, I can't use it. I can't uncheck, I can't open an IM conversation and so on...

It happends in all viewrs I tried, including the second life viewer.

It happends, in my desktop, and in mt laptop, also.
