phoenix viewer is running its working but firestorm and slviewer2 will still not run
-
reinstalled video drivers again direct from nvidia and no dice
-
yes its always run just fine on this system till a few weeks ago and you think me not having an opengl driver could be the issue?? cuz other games i have that use that run fine
-
video card is ruled out other games as demanding or more so work just fine and slplugin.exe is on my firewall exception list and all drivers are up to date now that slplugin has been brought up its not being blocked by firewall but i noticed it dosnt run at all it never shows up in task manager but the viewer exe does for a second
-
not the firewall and here are my pc specs

No secondlife viewers will open for me i have gotten help and nothing has worked we have ruled out overheat, video hardware, network hardware, ram, the viewers themselves, and my ISP none of these are an issue my viewers when i click the icon nothing happens the process runs for a second then shutsdown all of the viewers do this no popups or anything simply nothing happens
-

No secondlife viewers will open for me i have gotten help and nothing has worked we have ruled out overheat, video hardware, network hardware, ram, the viewers themselves, and my ISP none of these are an issue my viewers when i click the icon nothing happens the process runs for a second then shutsdown all of the viewers do this no popups or anything simply nothing happens
-
not resolved yet cuz i havnt talked with my isp if you want you can close this thread and if i cant solve anything with my isp then i can always repost
-
what exactly happened i turned on my pc one day and none of my viewers would open i tried everything i could think of none of them worked i reinstalled windows just to see if that would fix it cuz i was out of ideas after i did that and installed my viewer it worked fine then after a couple hours it crashed and then refused to open once again thats when i posted to the forums and started talking to you so i reinstalled windows cuz i thought it would fix it and my problem exactly is my viewer wont run period
-
i didnt say i wasnt gonna try what you said i only wondered why reinstalling windows fixed if its been my isp the whole time
-
this gets more and more confusing im thinking now if its my isp then why would it have worked or a few hours when i reinstalled
-
no no the crashing isnt a problem this crash was the first ever
-
the way its built im unable to take out the vid card without tearing it completely apart it seems and just realized it wouldnt have helped anyway its not a hardware problem cuz sl wont run on my other pc either but i dont know what in my network would be doing it cuz i host servers so my network is completely open but im more than willing to blame our dsl provider cuz ive had nothing but problems with them
-
ill try that tomorrow and this will be interesting im in school for IT but like i said i havnt started yet ive been working with pc's since i was 5 but thisll be the first time ive ever taken a part out of a laptop
-
18 wheels of steel across america uses opengl and has no problem and thank you but i never give up ive only run out of ideas as you have
-
well i hope we can fix it cuz i didnt buy the warranty cuz i couldnt afford the warranty and i had the same problem before i reinstalled i just reinstalled win7 cuz i was out of ideas and no sl is the only game with that problem and i dont think its the card cuz its running programs like flight simulator and crysis on high settings and my laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad Z560
-
-
its always on ac power and ill look to see if i can switch the graphics
-
after i reinstalled is when it ran for a few hours then crashed and went back to not even launching and yes thats correct i5 with hd graphics and yes i ran a full system search for the words second and life and deleted it all
-
im not yet attending im my own network at home and ive already done the reboots and so on but my problem is the exe just quits you know? i dont know if me being on wireless would cause that but if it is im screwed cuz the router is in another room
-
