Chatting issues....

Ok, I don't know where exactly to post this, but I'll give it a try here and hope it helps.

 

My close friend ShyAnn Emerald and I have difficulties chatting when we are apart.  Close by, where we are visible to each other on the mini-map, we can IM each other without trouble.  And we can TP each other.

But when we are apart, I can't see what she types out.  I see her typing, but nothing comes thru the chat box.  Neither can either of us TP each other.  But...I can IM with other friends even if they are in other regions and sims.  This happens ONLY with her!  However she can see what I type out. 

This is using the current SL viewer. 

On a whim, I decided to download the Phoenix viewer and hoped it would work out better.  Get this:  NOBODY around me can type TO me.  Either in local chat or IM chat.

One other thing:  I also use the Pocket Metaverse app for my iPod and we can IM without any trouble at all.  This issue just happens using the viewer.

Any ideas, folks??

It is frustrating to the both of us.
