Viewer preferences reset to default for no apparent reason?

Just logged in this morning and it was like launching my Phoenix viewer for the first time. I have the latest update which I updated several weeks ago.

What would cause this to happen?

me too. Idk what's up. Very frustrating to have to start over setting up things the way I like it.

phoenix and V3 do not play well together... they both use the same settings file, but they have the nasty habit of deleting it if there are entries that it doesn't understand....

I solved this by takinge the settings files that are in the V2 appsetting directory, finding the file that has all their names, changing them to add "V2_" to the front, and changing all those files in that directory (note this is the install directory and not the user settings directory)

once that was done, no more conflicts, and no more settings getting mangled.
