TTLF - Trip the Light fantastic - GREAT OPENING 

We would like to invite you to the opening ceremony and exhibition opening of the new club "Trip The Light Fantastic" (TTLF)!

When: 
Saturday, September 30 from 21:00 CEST / 12:00 p.m. STL.

Mark Taylor will kick off the evening with a live concert. 
Aftershow Party by LiTo DJ Team!

You can experience Terra Meryhem & Rage Darkstone's permanent exhibit during the festivities, and it will be open to you anytime afterward.

"Trip The Light Fantastic" is an extraordinary club in the middle of the Corsica South Coaster community, surrounded by art and culture.

The "Trip The Light Fantastic" - Underground Club (in short TTLF) is a new Location within the Corsica South Coasters community in Second Life. It’s located next to the "heArt&Soul"-Gallery on Durdane wich will open in November.
To "trip the light fantastic" is to dance nimbly or lightly to music. The origin of the phrase is attributed to John Milton. In Milton's use the word "trip" is to "dance nimbly" and "fantastic" suggests "extremely fancy". "Light fantastic" refers to the word toe, and "toe" refers to a dancer's "footwork". "Toe" has since disappeared from the idiom, which then becomes: "trip the light fantastic".

The "TTLF" is open every Saturday from 12pm SLT only and provides a variety of different (electronic) music styles and up to 3 DJs. Now and then concerts will be provided too, with a focus on highly individual Artists. The style of the location itself is reduced, elegant and focussed on music and light. A gallery-room with a permanent art installation by Terra Merhyem & Rage Darkstone is next to the main hall and always open to visit and explore.

Moonsoul is a professional sim builder and designer with her own firm Ammos Homes. Photography is her recently acquired passion and hobby. She expresses herself and her emotions through visual art and she has taken part in several exhibits in Second Life. Her focus is to make us see the Second Life world through her eyes. She centers her photos in landscapes and uses intense shadows, monochrome tones and contrasts. She is passionate about her work and her motto is “Always keep learning”. AmandaT Tamatzui, also known as Amanda Tomasoa, showcases her diverse art in a new exhibition. The collection features paintings from various periods, alongside her recent digital creations. Using a drawing tablet and her own digital images, AmandaT crafts unique pieces.

In July 2023, AmandaT received a full region from SL Endowment for the Arts (SLEA) and created Planet Tambalya with friends. This led to the birth of Tambalyans, cute alien creatures she loves so much that she's writing a book about them and selling real-life merch. "Longing - Have you ever missed a person? The time of longing seems endless. Every minute passes slowly. Even the sky is blue, flowers blossom, your spring breeze freezes still. 

In ancient, many women were left behind. They were waiting for their lovers day by day, year by year drowned by loneliness, swallowed by longing. Poems written with love and mercy, drew a soft line to the sketches of these pitiful ladies."

During Scylla's +15 years in Second Life, she did (and still does) a lot of activities. She is passionate political activist, a bookseller and many more. Only in the past 4 years she found her Love to tell stories and show statements via virtual photography. Her shadow and light play is unique and every picture of her has a special meaning.

So does her actual exhibition "Presence", in which she illustrates how important a presence, or even an absence, can be.

A short essay of her introductory text:

"We are presences even in those places where we are not, by virtue of our actual absence: we leave a trace embedded in what did not happen: the somethings we might have said that remain unspoken, or the somethings that might have been done that we were not present to do."
