Aurelia Go Kart Summer Racing Series, Weekly contest

Stop by and rez up a kart and see if you can get the best time. Also, a prize for most laps, so a newcomer has a chance to win.

Doing a beta run until the contest starts on June 19th, to make sure all the kinks are worked out.

Here are the rules and prize money. Tracking the car in real time and it plots the lap on the map. (see sample attached)

Aurelia Kart Racing Starts June 19th
2 weekly competitions - #1 Fastest Time - #2 Most Laps 

The first weekly contest will begin at midnight Monday, June 19th. (Midnight Monday is one minute after 11:59 PM Sunday)
Contest will run weekly until the end of summer.

1. No purchase necessary. There is no entry fee. Registration is not necessary. Join our group for important updates. 

2. Driver assumes liability for any damage or harm caused by their operation of the go kart.

3. Only approved vehicles permitted in the competition. The driver must only use our go kart to receive an official time. No modifications are permitted.

4. Competition runs midnight 12:00am Monday to 11:59pm Sunday. 

5. If a participant begins before midnight and finishes after midnight, their score will be counted on the next week's competition.

6. Participants must use Firestorm or the Official SL viewer. If a participant desires to use an alternate viewer, they must get approval before participating.

7. There are two weekly contests. One contest for the fastest time of the week. The winner will receive L$1500. The other contest is for the most laps recorded during the week. The winner will receive L$1500.

8. Participants may drive as many laps as they wish at any time during the week.

9. The driver must pass through all checkpoints/turns for a valid, recorded lap. If they miss a checkpoint or go in the wrong direction, the lap will be disregarded and not counted.

10. Preliminary times are posted within a few minutes on the screen at the Finish line, or on the WWW at https://angelshalo.love/official/

11. Results are reviewed by a race official and weekly winners are announced on Monday morning at 6 AM. Participants have until noon Monday to contest the posted results. At noon the results will be final and prize money proceeds distributed.

12. In the case of a tie in the fastest time competition, the shortest distance will be the tie breaker. In the case of another tie, the participant with the most laps will win. If all three conditions result in another tie, both winners will share the prize money for that week.

13. In the case of a tie in the number of laps competition, the shortest total distance will be the tie breaker, followed by the shortest time. If all three conditions result in another tie, both winners will share the prize money for that week.

14. Anyone caught cheating, including the use of automated and scripted or server-controlled avatars, or manipulating the timing equipment on our property will be disqualified.

15. Participants agree to have their position tracked (while operating the official go kart), and they agree to have their location displayed on the map. By participating, they agree to have their avatar display name appear on the map and in the results, which are available on the website. They also agree that we may contact them through in-world IM to distribute their prize money.

16. Obstacles and any issues with physics are equal for all participants. Any changes to the course will be made between 6am and 9am each Monday and noted on the official results page.

17. Should a participant winner choose to have their prize money distributed to an inworld charity or other third party inworld entity, they must indicate their wish by IM before the prize money is sent. All prize money is paid inworld by Lindens.

18. No nudity on the course.

19. Any injuries, wrecks, or property damage must be reported immediately via IM.

20. All decisions made by authorized race staff judges are final.
