Jessious Dreamscape
Hello. Since last week my Second Life has been constantly crashing every few minutes no matter what viewer I use, like it constantly lags out. At first I thought it was my connection, which I checked repeatedly, but several other programs that use my internet connection run perfectly fine. Up until this started I had been running on high setting so I turned dawn all my settings down to medium but it still has no effect. As I said SL had been running perfectly fine until last week and this has only just started happening since last week. I have a 4 month old Alien Ware so I'm fairly certain it's not an issue with my computer. Has there been some sort of change to SL, could it be my settings need tweaking, or some other simple solution? As I said SL had been running perfectly fine until last week
Thinkerer Melville
It still sounds like a connection problem. SL uses ports that are not commonly used by other programs, so a failing router can mess up SL while other programs work fine, That happened to me a few years ago. Here is a summary of problems like that -- and solutions Login fails? Lots of logouts? Summary TKR
Jessious Dreamscape
I had thought that of the one I was using at the time so I went ahead and replaced the router after the first day.
