I'm using the Official Viewer, I am up to date, and I'm very stumped. Every few seconds, the "(Nearby chat)" entry in my Conversations list starts blinking orange as if I have a new message of some sort. However, there's nothing! I am alone on my rented parcel. As far as I can tell, I'm alone on the entire island - the "Private" option is turned on. When I Ctrl+M, the map told me there was only 1 person on the map. I have seen reports of other people being present, even though I can not see them or hear them without crossing property lines, in the past. I have checked to be sure there are no new scripted items on my person or on my parcel since before this started up. I have looked through my "Blocked" list to see if I accidentally blocked something on my parcel (not the case!) and I have scoured the Chat tab on my Preferences to see if I unclicked something that might be trying to talk to me (again, not the case). The orange flashy is genuinely giving me a twitch. How do I figure out what is triggering it? How do I make it stop? Thank you kindly! Edit to clarify: The answer offered so far means well but missed what my question really is. When the chat is flashing again, no message from any person or object or anything is there.As soon as I click in the chat box as if I'm going to type something, it stops, waits a few seconds, and then starts flashing again even though no avatar or object has sent any message I can see. It would be like a real world phone ringing over and over again, but there's no call and no text message. I really appreciate that you're trying to help me!
