  2. Glad it is not just me. Wish I could get it to work again. Guess I will just keep trying and hoping. Thanks for responding! Holly
  3. Is it just me, or is anyone else having issue with adding related items to their Market place listings. I press the button and type in a product name and I get nothing. Will sit there for hours if I let it. So I change the product name. I know "Christmas" is there. Still nothing. So I finally pick a random word like "Valentines" and look...all those come up. Problem is, it is a Christmas item and Valentines is not related to it. Does this mean at Valentines day the only related items I will be able to see to chose is Christmas? Is it just me? It use to work fine. Holly
  4. Mauve Binder wrote: ...There are some great sales groups which consistently bring shoppers and collaborative groups. .... I agree with Mauve about Collaborative groups. They are a great business tool and well worth the time. They bring new and old customers, often not just for the item that you are selling for the group, but they are customers who came to shop and spend, not just look for the freebies. Just remember when joining a collaborative group, that while someone else is coordinationg and promoting it , you also get what you give. Those groups can only succeed if you too spread the word and promote it when you can. It is not a "quick and easy way to make money". Like anything else it takes time and hard work. But it is so worth it when you look at the big picture. Hope that helps, Holly
  5. I got it! I got it! I got it! *Does a happy dance!!* Thank you both for your help! Now I can go get some sleep. It was getting personal. lol Thank you, Holly
  6. I am guessing there are a few ways to do this. Thank you for that script. I tried to compile it, but I did get an error. Not defind in scope. The error was at the src in this line. data = llStringTrim(src, STRING_TRIM); I will look it over again after a little bit a sleep. Right now my tired eyes are not going to see what is wrong. But again thank you for helping! It is appreciated. Holly
  7. Okay so, I thought I had it. I did have it working without the notecard in a seperate script, but not with the notecard. So now I am not sure again. lol I am sure I am doing somethign wrong, but I am sleepy now too. I added the following lines into my script: *put before the default* string strReplace(string str, string search, string replace) { return llDumpList2String(llParseStringKeepNulls((str = "") + str, [search], []), replace); } *Put into my dataserver* if(strReplace("avatar", "avatar", llDetectedName(0))); It did not work, so I am thinking.... yea I did not get it right. But I will try again after a few hours sleep. I have it working on it's own in a touch script, so I am part way there. But thank you for the help with that link. I had read it earlier this week in my quest, but then I tricked myself into thinking it was wrong. Thanks, Holly
  8. For the last week I have been trying to figure out how to get a script that reads configuration information from a note card to allow a placeholder to be put into the note card. Then when the line is read through the script have it replace the place holder with the avatars name that touched the prim. An example of what I am talking about is similar to this script. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Read_Note_Card_Configuration I want the script to say "Ouch! Happyholly you just touched me." Then in the configuration notecard have it say: talk = Ouch! %avatarplaceholder% you just touched me. I know I need the touch event to do all that, that is not a problem. I have done that, but I can't figure out how to get the script to replace the avatarplaceholder with the avatar who touches' name. I have tried a few ways, spent countless hours trying to find information about it and I am now more lost and confused then when I started. :matte-motes-dont-cry: Can anyone point me the right direction, or give me a little jump start on this so I can learn how is done? Thank you, Holly
  9. Is this just happening to me? I see my magic box emails telling me things are being delivered, but I am not getting emails that there was an order for them. So, I go and check my marketplace transactions and there are no orders for items that are being sent out. I even had a customer contact me this morning saying that Marketplace said that their order did not go through and the money was returned to them, however she got the item. She was nice enough to pay me for the item. What is going on. How much is being given away that I don't know about. O-o I am thinking of pulling in my magic boxes till I can figure out what is going on. Anyone else having trouble? Holly
