  1. I'm struggling looking for easy to follow and understand tutorials, with (and this is key) Someone using updated software for building with and exporting to SL. I'm looking to just befriend someone who does it currently, and gain access to a discord where we can swap information from time to time when we hit walls. I joined about 6-10 groups in SL, and all are relatively non responsive, which is fine. Nobody get's paid to run support here... but I would like a friend like minded who enjoys building mesh, animating or rigging it. Disclaimer: Before I get responses back I would like to give a list of things I have already tried that have failed me and or are not without a mountain of time wasted and/or aggravating to follow and listen to, this list is not intended to personally attack anyone, but I know some of you may take offense because these people are pillars in the community. I'm sure they are lovely people but if I have trouble, then I'm having trouble... that's just facts. 1. Mayastar plugin: I bought it, and there is little to zero support for learning how to use it. Tutorials for it are outdated software, and you have to filter through many to hear information (for many hours) to learn things don't match up. I am getting errors even with a fresh scene using this plugin. I have dropped a support request, I have watched the tutorials. This has been very unnecessarily laborious. Reaching out to the group for it has resulted in nothing. Listening to 45 minutes of giggles, Okay, So, and Ums.. till I want to rip my hair out.. 30mins to tell me to click one button.. If I sound upset... I am. Even a written note card script would of been better than these video tutorials. That's great if YOU had a better experience... awesome.. but it has not been =my= experience. 2. Youtube & Google: Before you say these are your best answer for me.. Yes, I know how to use them. Again, outdated or irrelevant currently. Or I simply have not found that one magical tutorial that explains it. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk.. I just don't want someone to feel the need to post the most obvious answer and feel like an Eisenstein. If you actually got help from a video series I'll shut-up and pay attention to it, just slap me the recommended list. I am passionately willing to learn it. I just want someone who can teach. 3. You got glitter bombed. CONCLUSION: Do you make mesh? Want to add me and be mesh making buddies? Please send me a message. I swear to god I'm not a jerk.. I'm just exhausted with bread crumbs and need a meal. Autodesk Products: Maya, Mudbox etc. Substance Painter and Adobe Software. It's not help with the software I need, it's help understanding making things compatible for SL with updated software.
  2. Hellow everyone!, I am starting in the bender design and I am currently finishing a rigged model for the NAM Chibi body. To my perception the weight of the skin is acceptable, the base body was provided by the creator and the gray model created by me. i was exported the gray model as collada.dae, and when trying to upload it as a model to SL. I can not include the weight of the skin I have no idea how to solve this error, could someone help me? thank you very much for your attention.!
  3. Hola a todos!. Me estoy iniciando en el diseño en bender y actualmente termine un modelo riggeado para el cuerpo NAM Chibi. A mi percepción el peso de la piel esta perfecto, el cuerpo base fue proporcionado por el creador y el modelo gris creado por mi. Eh Exportado el modelo gris como collada.dae, y al momento de intentar subirlo como modelo a SL. no puedo incluir el peso de la piel No tengo idea como resolver este error, No tengo idea si tiene que ver con las dimenciones del modelo en Blender o en la forma en que debo exportarlo, alguien podria ayudarme? muchas gracias por su atencion
  4. I've been pulling my hair out for days now over this. I've tried to rig created clothing made through blender into SL, and in blender it works perfectly. The weights work, the mesh doesn't deform and there don't appear to be any issues. When it comes to uploading I can either get it to rarely upload with no skin weights at all or subset issue, or I can get it to upload by removing excess bones, however subset error is usually present, and if not, the mesh is terribly deformed. I have tried applying scale, rotation and location, tried uploading as OBJ, downloading as Collada and then reweighting it. I have tried changing my upload settings, using different viewers and at this point I'm considering contacting a priest to see if divine intervention can help. Any advice, tips, help or even reassurance that it'll all be over soon would be appreciated at this point. Thanks.
  5. Hello! <3 I'm working on updating an old bento body to work with more shape sliders, but I'm running into a couple issues. One of them is that the butt and belly shape sliders seem to both affect the PELVIS bone. So, although I need to use the PELVIS bone to weight the belly, this also means the butt shape slider will scale the belly up. I've also noticed that the BUTT volume bone doesn't work as I want it to (scales left to right rather than back), so someone recommended I use the PELVIS bone for the butt too, which works fine, but also means the belly slider would scale the butt up and vice versa. Is this working as intended? Thank you for your time!

Whenever I try to copy skin weights from a mesh body, I end up with this kind of issue when moving the joints like this https://i.gyazo.com/7c7e6b43356665033e144f909d3b31ab.mp4 Is there a way to easily copy weights in Maya or other software without having this issue? I was playing around with making a layer for alpha's for a mesh body with the same issue, even when both have the same topology.
