Hi, Back on my very first avatar, I had a lot of trouble adjusting shapes and I sought out a friend of a friend who helped me by having me stand on a pose stand and he told me what areas to adjust and what numbers to put in the slider area. Now my questions are: 1. How did he do this? 2. Was he using a special software program? 3. Is there written instructions somewhere? I have searched and searched. I have read Penny's blog, Catnap Kitty's information, Strawberry's blog, the Golden Rule on SL wiki, and watched videos. I am still, even after 4 years, confused as to how to alter my shape so it is more realistic looking. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Krickett
Hi all, just got myself a 1070TI and still got some money to spend, so wanting to see what I should upgrade next. Currently, I am running: GPU: GeForce Nvidia 1070ti RAM: 16GB ram (2x 8GB sticks in 2 ports) CPU: Intel i7 4790 (8CPUS) DAC - Intergrated RAMDAC I will also link this benchmark test which shows off all my hardware I am currently using so you can grasp more information than me typing out everything in a DX diag. It is a bit old, so i will explain the edits as well to it: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/8530914 (EDITED BENCHMARK: THIS IS THE NEWEST RESULT: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/8819520 ) Now using a SSD 250GB Samsung drive. along with the HDD shown in the benchmark. And I have upgraded to windows 10 64 bit Enterprise I am wondering if i need to upgrade my CPU, or RAM, yet a friend told me the CPU might be the better option if I were to upgrade to a I7-8700k or higher, yet, a I7-8700k would fit my price range better. Thanks for any input
Is there any way to use proper animation software to make BVH animations for SL? I'll be blunt about it, Qavimator is way too basic and limited for me; preferably, I'd love to be able to use something more flexible/multi-purpose, such as Maya (or less desirably, 3DS Max) to create and export animations in the BVH format for use in-world with avatars. All the threads I keep finding though either are full of dead links, or deleted posts. I'm currently using a combination of Maya 2016 and 3DS Max 2011 for all of my 3D work, so if there's any way I could use either of these to create my own animations from scratch, please inform me.. I'm absolutely desperate to find out. My apologies in advance if this has been answered before.
