SOLVED! I contacted Catwa's owner, they told me it's not possible, only for skins this option works. Short hint for those who want to make such an effect (works for skins only!) 1. Follow instructions, use any textures as diffuse and normal maps and only specular map must be your glitter effect. 2. Later when you generate your script do everything as always and just remove textures code between "" quotes for diffuse and normal. It will look like: cmd += [""]; cmd += ["blahblahblahblahblah........blahblah"]; cmd += [""]; 3. Have fun! Hello! how to make such an effect on the Catwa head? I managed to make a regular tattoo, applied on a blush layer. but I didn’t even find custom material button for blush in the master hud, only on skin. on this as I understand it, such effect goes to the skin layer, or am I wrong? then what layer does such texture go to? maybe i need some kind of a special applier? Edit: I used Catwa dev kit for my tattoo, but couldn't find any materials option there.
I purchased a new laptop and everything on it is newer and more up to date than my old one and for some reason I can't use advanced lighting? I use Firestorm SOO I tried SL viewer and it allows me to use advanced lighting but I cannot use SL viewer I HATE IT! I can't get used to it and everything about Firestorm feels a lot better than SL viewer. So anyway, my question is is there anyway at all I can turn on advanced viewer in Firestorm, there's literally no option I can't tick it I take A LOT of pics and I use the body shine a lot so I really need it to work lol 😫 I found something on here and it was a similar issue but the other way around they could get it on firestorm and not sl - someone told them a way around it but obviously that might not work since I want it on Firestorm not Sl viewer lol. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, I hope you can advise me. For a while I started to create jewels, no mesh, with the prims that allow me second life (cube, cylinder, bull etc.) and I didn't believe it but it will be for the low impact, the low cost and the detailed textures, they asked to sell in my furniture store. Now I wish they had a glow or glint, but not like those flashes of light as in old accessories, which shoot beams of light, but a delicate glint that stands out on the stones. I am attaching some photos. When I open the texture it shines like the original, but when I resize it and put it on the prim it becomes opaque. I already know that in the editing tool I can add full light and glow but it's not what I'm looking for. Can anyone help me ? do i need a script? thank you Adriana
Hello, every time I upload a textured mesh and enable the shine feature in-world, it doesn't shine. In fact, sometimes I am able to see through them. How can I stop this from happening? Also, it happens even when I save the textures as a PNG file.
