A month or so ago there were some comments about what padding should be set out. The super smart folks that make mesh for a living were sure that it should be a high number so that one doesn't have that nasty black line in the mesh when you zoom out.
I have been using "1" for a long while with no issues at all BUT I can still see lines in my very old mesh. So as I started to bake just now I was wondering IF it may simply be a difference between the Cycles engine and the Render engine. Some of the folks advocating the large numbers in padding I know use Blender Render and not cycles.
It SEEMS like I stopped seeing those lines (and turned down the padding) about the time I moved to Cycles.
So any input on that thought?
