We are hiring for all positions at The Mermaid Retreat. Info: The Mermaid Retreat is a relaxation spot for all creatures, humans, merfolk, sea-life, furries, and small avatars (no children). On an adult sim we are all about keeping people connected and having fun while doing so! We are centered to be a stress free zone where everyone can coexist and live out their second life. What we are looking for: We are looking for people to be committed, fun- loving submerged citizens. People who don't take life so seriously and who can have fun and to have time on their hands. We expect you to be just as respectful to each other and other second life lifestyles as well as how you'd treat your friends in real life. Also, we're looking for people who work well in communicating and work well with others. We are a team and let's see that team spirit for support of The Mermaid Retreat as well as each other in a non judgemental environment. I'm in search of a role-play that will be the right fit for a character I am making. She will be a mermaid-shifter hybrid (exactly what kind of shifter I am keeping to myself for now) and I am honestly not picky about the time period though I do have more experience with the medieval era. I am also not looking to just be another face in the crowd, I would prefer it if I could find a position that would allow me to either rise up in the ranks or start off as a ruler of some sort; too many times I've started off at the bottom and never got a chance to go anywhere else so I would like a change. I would totally understand if all of those kinds of positions are already full, especially in the RPs that have been around for awhile, but I don't know every single RP group that is out there so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. If nothing comes from this at least I can say I tried. If you want to leave a quick comment for me here that is fine but if you want to have an actual conversation I would prefer to do that in-game so drop me an IM. Faithful servant of R'hllor, looking for priests & priestesses, servants, and slaves to assist me in my quest to bring the city of Lys to a state of humble devotion to our Lord of Light. Use of magic encouraged, combat permitted. Other religions are also practiced in the city, so this could be a fun RP while we attempt to convert the free men and the slaves of the city to our righteous ways. This is not Westeros - Lys is in Essos, a resort island for the rich and bored of Essos and Westeros. As one of the Free Cities, we are Valyrian in origin and democractic in our governance. There is slavery on the sim, and it's adult rated, so no child avis. The Red Temple is in the care of the Celtigar family. We also assist them in keeping prisoners, with cells in our temple. Melody Falls is a medieval fantasy role playing sim that is focused mainly around PvE instead of PVP. The land is hostile and the settlers are starting out with very little. Only with what was brought with the founders on their boat and what little supplies there was left in the town. The goal of the sim is survival. You do not have all the supplies to do whatever you want and as a community we work together towards goals. The more work put into farming, gathering, hunting, etc. can go a long way. What you do actually matters in the survival of yourself and the community. In the town the founders have settled in, they have tried to restore some of the buildings that were left abandoned by its former inhabitants. Using parts from old ships and whatever else they could find/gather to help in restoration. As you live on the island, trying to survive, there is still much on the island that is not known yet. More dangers yet to be seen and waiting for the colony. When you first arrive in the OOC hub you TP right in front of where our lore, rules, ooc tag, and other information you will need to read and be familiar with before joining. Also in the hub is the staff board listing those that are online and offline. Feel free to message one if they are around after reading the lore and rules to get an invite to the RP group. If none are around at the time, since time schedules come into play, then pop on an ooc tag and have a look around. Please be patient if no staff is around. As much as we love to roleplay, real life comes first but we will get back to you ASAP. A few days ago I blabbled about the idea of groups of mer gathering together in random places, and swimming together to other random places. It sounded like a fun way to perhaps add some mystery to SL for other residents who might witness such an event. It also occurred to me that a group could help facilitate an occasional such gathering. So I made one.
