Hello , Looking to hire a full time Rigg Artist - That's capable of working specifically with 100% mesh clothing , and shoes. If capable of rigging with Bento that would be a major PLUS but not required. This is a paid position , and i'm looking for someone with open availability that can take on bulk/large orders of meshes male and female that need to be rigged by specific deadlines. Hi! so my friend got a mesh body from the same place as mine (but male) from Belleza and we're having some issues. Such as, when the hud first pops up, it wont let us click it to open it and when it does, it doesn't let us change the skin tone, eyes, or even look at the alpha layer to remove parts. It wont let us select anything. We tried on a different computer just to see if it was just his acing up but it was doing the same thing on mine as well. We've read the instructions over and over again and still nothing is working. The body can be applied to his avatar no problem but its just the customization that's having issues.

Belleza Jake 2.0 losing fingernails at any change of clothing
Fenimore Hapmouche posted a question in Avatar
Very recently it started that every time I change clothing like pants or shirts, but not for example shoes, the fingernails disappear. I can either cycle the fingernails button in the HUD, which remains selected when that happens or cycle the alpha for the hands and the nails reappear. This is the Jake 2.0 body. I unpacked a new copy of the body, redid the appliers and such, but that did not make a difference. This worked fine for a good while and started only the last few days. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I could try next to fix this little annoyance? Thanks!!- 7 replies

Hello, I have received the Jake Belleza Dev Kit from Belleza and am a Blender user. I have 2.79 and 2.72 for various needs and Avastar 1.7.1 for Blender 2.72 and Avastar Bento 2.3.2 for Blender 2.79. I have done my best following the instructions given by Belleza to convert the rig to Avastar/Blender and as far as the rig goes it is functional but the issue is with the mesh clothing floating dramatically away from the body, I've gone so far as to suck it up into the body itself and while it does get it closer the issues that creates moving forward are just silly and not useful. See the picture for what I am getting. I work with most of the other major Dev kits and while each have their own quirks this one is something special lol. If any of you talented mesh makers have over come this I would love to know how. All the best, Scarlet

Howdy, I have a question for the men and possibly some of the women on the forum.. What are the best male shapes on the market? I'm asking because I'm trying to help a friend make over his avatar. I'm trying to make minor adjustments to his current shape, but it still doesn't quite look right. Any pointers in the right direction will be appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: This is what I have so far, I'm just trying to make sure that everything is proportioned correctly.

I'm having problems getting a very simple fitted mesh skirt to work properly on the Belleza Jake mesh kit body using the Avastar plugin in Blender 2.79. I tried making a super simple plain pencil-skirt for him, just to test whether the fitted sliders will work and the mesh will fit different shapes... For the most part, it does upload fine and it is rigged normally and in addition, follows the "Muscle" sliders which means the "Fitted" is working, but... ...There are still some sliders which just won't assign properly both in Blender and after uploading into SL. After I manually weight them, the sliders for things like the Butt and more importantly, the Saddle Bags work but, have too-little effect on the skirt for it to match/follow the body, and they only work somewhat if I manually weight them to the vertex groups of "PELVIS" and "BUTT" on the skirt, and they are both weighted in Blender all the way to red. I did use the "Shrink Wrap" modifier for this, so it has a nice snug fit in Blender by default, so I really think it's just weighting issues. On the Avastar website, it does mention that it does NOT recommend manual weighting, so I have a feeling something is going wrong if it's not automatically being weighted to those sliders (while it works fine for the "leg muscles" slider). Is there any other way to do this, or to further strengthen the weighting beyond the maximum? I have already read through all of the fitted mesh guides on the Avastar website like 3 times or more, so I am not getting anymore help from that site, so please don't link me to that. Or, is this just the normal Fitted Mesh process for creating 3D mesh clothing? I am experienced in making non-fitted rigged mesh clothing, and so I am familiar with how much work it is to weight that, but... this is going to be another whole level of frustration and time-consumption over the non-fitted rigged mesh's already-long weighting process. It's really discouraging, so I actually really hope it's something with the program/plugin that is causing issues instead... How are some creators making flawlessly-fitting Fitted mesh clothing that doesn't even require hiding the body with alpha?? Is there some trick to it that Avastar doesn't explain? Do they duplicate the body itself and extrude on that to create the clothing?? I actually tried testing that out, and it did NOT work at all because modifying the vertices of the mesh at all after duplicating the body just completely gets rid of some of the sliders such as the butt and saddle bag sliders which are giving me problems in the first place. Not to mention, the duplicated body would not export due to errors (though the un-edited body could be uploaded just fine with all of the sliders in-tact).

So I have been watching for awhile now as I think the Jake body (and hud) are the best of what's out there for the guys now. Aeros has had placeholder for JAKE appliers for awhile and now they are viable with two choices (bare and hairy) in five or six skintones. That's great, but of course there is a BUT. The faces are only for Catwa. Any other recommendations for JAKE? with OMEGA heads? If any skin designer is paired with Bellaza for skin tones of head appliers, that would be super to know. Thanks. I really don't understand why designers resist the Omega option. It seems like it would increase sales. But, I am definitely not a skin designer. Still for those of you with Catwa heads this might be a new place to check.
