  1. Premier Wrestling are hiring photographers to take pictures at our NAW show on MONDAYS 1 PM SLT and Overload on THURSDAYS(sometimes FRIDAYS) at 1 PM SLT You must be able to capture images with ultra graphics, so you must be able to handle lag well. You must have the ability to edit images + add our Premier Wrestling logo on to them. Being a wrestling photographer means you must be able to capture racing shots - meaning you will only have seconds to take a shot, because it's not like fashion static shots that are posed. You will get paid. Please join our discord server: https://discord.gg/5QgmYbb Do you think that you have what we are looking for? Then please contact wulla Zabelin

  3. (pardon my ranting style, it is used for humor purposes only.) i belong to a couple of discount shopping event groups, you know, the weekly ones. and i go to web pages/galleries to quickly visually scan the goodies on offer. more and more, i have been confused at what exactly some of these ads are selling. i thought it was just me, being a stupid old geezer, but i happened to mention it in one of the aforementioned groups. i was just about to buy an awesome formal suit in raven black and crimson (my colours!), when i noticed there wasn't any demo options to test it first. there wasn't any indication of what bodies/shapes it was for, etc etc. it finally dawned on me that this image was NOT of the beautiful raven and crimson suit, but of the poses of the guys wearing the suit! i double-checked in the group chat. yes, the item was poses, not clothing. OOPS! feeling like a total idiot, i mentioned ads being confusing... and to my surprise, a lot of people agreed with me! don't get me wrong. these ad pics are GORGEOUS. appealing. beautiful, eye-catching, alluring. but a lot of times, there's not even any text on the image stating what exactly it is advertising. so many times i see beautiful pictures, like a head shot, gorgeous hair, lighting, beautiful model with makeup, sparkling eyes, jewelry... and not a clue what the vendor is selling. is it the hair? the bangs ON the hair? the skin? the head shape? a new mesh head (not likely, okay)... the makeup? the freckles? the jewelry? one PIECE of the jewelry? oh! if i peer sideways at the name, it seems to be selling that one little nose stud, there. a lot of times, the name is no help. the name could be... Deluxe Mojo Sassafrass! ...well what the heck is THAT!? consumers need some info! the product name is a start. what it IS is helpful. "Deluxe Mojo Sassafrass hairstyle!" or "Deluxe Mojo Sassafrass freckles!" or "Deluxe Mojo Sassafrass nose stud!" other info is helpful as well. is it rigged? not rigged? rigged for who/what, exactly?? does it require Advanced Lighting Model to look that cool? and why, oh WHY, is everybody leaving off simple little indicators of the product permissions? is it mod? copy? trans? none!? sometimes, with caspervend, i can right click and 'touch' the vendor, and get the menu so i can press the 'info' button. if the vendor doesn't set up a description on the caspervend product page, it at LEAST tells me the name of the item, the price, and USUALLY the permissions. sometimes i get nothing. one time i didn't even get the permissions. how do you even turn that off?? this is just a constructive suggestion. take it how you will. i will warn you, one of the persons in the aforementioned discussion we had in group stated flatly that if they couldn't tell what was being sold from the image, they gave it a pass entirely. it is tempting. saves me some money :X TL;DR------------------------------------------------------------------------------ great product pics, guys! please write on there somewhere what it is out of the image that you're actually selling.
  4. What is good etiquette? Posting in 2 or 3 threads, or stick to one? Today, Now and Vanity. I heard once that Vanity was for more staged, edited, photoshopped images and Today was for simpler images. If that is the "rule", nobody cares. I know it is hopeless to have rules, but I heard that was the idea. I am not sure why somebody decided one million views was enough, so there had to be a new thread. I see that most people still post in the thread that has over one million views anyway, so what was the point? I do not want to swarm threads with identical pictures, but maybe I should not overthink it and just do it, like others. Moderators would close the long thread if it was too "heavy" to open, or whatever reason some had to open a new thread. In long threads, it will always be some discussions besides posting images. It is no way to keep it out even if a new thread is started. I think it is fun to have other "themed" threads, they die out after 1 or 2 weeks of themselves.
  5. Hello SL boys and girls! I would like to make a small exhibition of people's weirdest/funniest/most entertaining moments caught on cam in SL. I think we've all had our share of interlopers, strange characters, laughable moments and thought it would be fun to collect images of those moments and share them in a gallery for a short while. I'm offering to pay 100 lindens for each image I will use. If I decline using your image, I won't make any payment. If you decide to send me your images, this means you allow me to use it in the gallery for the exhibit without any more compensation. This is for fun, it will be free to all of course. If you have questions or want to send me your pictures, you can find me in world most evenings. Thank you for your interest! Aramis Melodie
  6. Hi all. I was just wondering where you post your images outside of SL? Flickr used to be great for this , but with all the new updates. I'm looking for somewhere new. Any suggestions?

  8. To all concerned: As a longtime Second Life and Flickr user, I have seen over the past few years what an amazing presence Second Life users have on Flickr, and the massive volume of Second Life images hosted there. From untouched Second Life screenshots directly uploaded, to carefully detailed art pieces originating from a screenshot, nearly all of that work is unique to this grid and the people who call it home. I have met many amazing Second Life image-makers through the networking resource that Flickr used to be, and have watched the community of those creators raked over the coals by everything from feed and forum trolls to Flickr mismanagement, all while struggling with the continuing deficiencies in the Flickr platform and it's utter unsuitability for the unique needs of the Second Life imaging community (and in some corners, open hostility toward the Second Life community as a whole). I myself would very gladly, were it an option, agree to the addition of some monthly amount to my Premium fees for Second Life, to facilitate my access to a Linden Lab-operated image hosting service. I cannot imagine, particularly in the current state of affairs for Second Life image-makers trying to use Flickr, that there would be any trouble securing wide-spread support for such a service. For many, certainly including me, the ability to create quality artistic imagery within the Second Life universe is one solid reason why the service is so loved and appreciated, as that quality of outlet, along with the ability to create 'living' 3D art for the viewer to experience inworld in unique ways, is unprecedented. If Linden Lab--or a dedicated agent--were to host the images we make on the grid on a platform intended for it, for a modest fee with possibly a limited free-level service and possibly a discount (or inclusion with the subscription) for premium users with the further possibility of commercial accounts for advertisers, or any other possible side-sources for cost offset, I for one cannot fathom failure of that effort to improve the environment for Second Life photographers, who are certainly the majority of active users (nearly everyone takes screenshots). Bloggers spend more on clothes than anyone in Second Life, surely. Imagine keeping the exposure, the connections, the financial benefits of the vast majority of Second Life image creation in the company. If at some point in the future the concept is addressed seriously, please sign me up at once. Submitted humbly and very earnestly, Dee Wells.
