With countless regions, parties, activities, and ways to modify your appearance, it’s safe to say that there’s always something to do in Second Life. However, it’s understandable that one might feel stuck or overwhelmed by all the choices. I don’t think I’m the only one who gets anxiety from spending 30 minutes on Netflix trying to decide what to watch. Luckily, there is a vast selection of topics under discussion in our community forums to help guide you through those moments. New Residents might have trouble looking for a specific item in the marketplace, finding the avatar that’s right for them, or understanding SL terminology that feels very natural to long term Residents. I definitely thought they were talking about cupcakes the first time I saw the term Bakes on Mesh. The main sections are People, Places and Events, Creation, Technology, Commerce, Land, and International. They cover just about everything you could imagine: machinima, land rentals, relationships, etc. For miscellaneous and support related questions, you can always go to the Answers section. And the best part is this discussion involves other Residents, all of whom were newbies at one point. I love that there is a Missed Connections section. SL is such a great place to meet people, but sometimes things get in the way the first time around and this is a great way to get a second chance at reaching out to someone. The forums are like an encyclopedia of Second Life information for those “What in the virtual world is going on?” moments, and I encourage everybody to check them out!

Would someone mind sharing how to block someone in forums? I see “report” and “share” but can’t locate “block“.

So I have recently been trying to post in the In-World Employment section of the forum to try and get a job. However my threads keep getting deleted claiming that I am violating some rule about advertising in my post... when there are plenty of other similar forum topics of people asking for jobs in that very same section. What gives?

Family responsibilities mean no in-world access for me every Wednesday & Tursday. But whenever I can I'm on my phone, either checking my flickr feed, checking the forums, or scrolling MP. This morning at 7.00 I was awake and spent an hour in bed on MP, buying more than I should. It's such fun I can't imagine being without this obsession. After lunch I might just look for a few more must haves......

Are we allowed to create this post in the forums...
MajikVixen Lorefield posted a question in Shopping
...Something like a "Place Your For Sale Stuff Here" post somewhere if it's not land, to give everyone the opportunity to post their stuff just in one section to not bother the other forum spots? -
...Explain it to me like I'm 5, pretty please and thank you.

Although my Systems (both on my Linux Desktop and my Win10 Laptop) are up-to-date, I couldn't log in on the Forums using Firefox and Chromium. Even on my Laptop there was a message about "insecure Connection", but I was able to log in regardless on Edge - but not on Firefox. Are LL working on the Logins page, or is something else happening? ETA: I just saw at "Advanced":

Has LL changed the way things work again, or is there a new bug? Normally, when I click "Mark Forum as Read", a little banner appears saying something like "forum marked as read". Then I click the Back arrow to get back to the list of forums and go to the next one. Today, that changed. When I click the button, the screen gives a little jump, and all the posts that were in bold (unread) become un-bold. But then, annoyingly, I have to click the Back button an extra time to leave the post I'm on, close the forum and get back to the list of Answers forums. More like CLICK (leave post) CLICK (go back to previous forum post list) CLICK (go back to forum list).

So (for me) the link insertion method could use some rethinking. I pasted in some text for a link -- like I would do in many forums. It put itself in an odd box like it would if I was accessing a page, but nothing showed up but an empty grayed out blinking box. I couldn't delete that area -- at least I tried hard and didn't manage it, but it looked completely empty. Next I used the LINK icon to get the link making box which worked fine. I understand that "sometimes" when inserting a URL the first photo of that page shows up which is great if there is a photo. If not, then it seems messy. Here is the forum post: And that of course worked just fine. Here is the screenshot of what I saw in edit:
