ZanderZ is looking for a new staff manager Location - ZanderZ Location ZanderZ – Staff Managers Job Description APPLY IN PERSON TO ZANDER EWING Interviews will be held on SL Fridays, when both myself and the General Manager will be present. After discussion, this role may be modified if it becomes necessary. This is a business position with responsibilities which you agree to perform, I expect you will behave in an adult manner. As you are applying for a Staff Manager's position, if you are weak minded, over sensitive, or have ongoing RL issues which will prevent you performing these duties then don't apply. You will be given a pretty free rein however, if there is an issue you cannot deal with, are unsure of, or simply want a second opinion then ASK. I am sure there will be a settling in period until we are all on the same page. You need to have a presence in the club 5 days per week for at least two hours per day as staff need to see your face. I understand RL comes first and the unexpected can happen, but please be considerate and forewarn where possible. I am happy to put out items and do theme work for events where possible. I like people who are creative, so long as it doesn't degrade the overhaul appearance of the club. My inventory is very large so please ask me if you need something. As Staff Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating staff for all events. You are in charge of securing DJ's for events however, we will help with this when required. I reserve the right to decline a DJ if I feel they do not fit, such as DJ’s who are vulgar or who play objectionable material may not be acceptable. Of course this will be based on their popularity and what kind of a following they have, keep this in mind when interviewing them. We prefer staff with a sense of class. You may hire Hosts and DJ’s within the guidelines provided. You may also fire anyone you hire if required without consultation with myself except those that the General Manger or myself hire, and then I/we will decide their fate. I will of course want to know why they were dismissed. Please try and schedule events for everyday but especially for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. NOTE: The 6pm-8pm Saturday time slot is reserved for Live Performers and special events, if no events are scheduled that week then a DJ may fill the slot if they want it. Impromptu events at any other times are encouraged at your discretion. There is a schedule board in the Staff Room where (at the moment) staff can add or remove themselves. If you would rather take over management of the board so you can add/remove staff from shifts then that can also be arranged. This board sends out a 30 minute reminder to them before their shift starts. Ideally at that time they should be 'checking in' by saying so in the staff group chat. A bit of leeway needs to be given with it as they may be doing a set at another club at the time and cant do it right away. Use group chat/notices judiciously. They are great ways of telling the venue's members that you are there, but sending too many will cause the notices to be ignored or disabled. While on duty suitable clothing should be worn. Don't you look like you would be comfortable leashed to a post somewhere. No leashes while working period! I have zero tolerance for bullies or harassment. Any reports of this nature will require an immediate stand down period until the report has been investigated and a decision made. If it is coming from a guest they should be immediately removed. If you wish to have a particular theme for an event then please contact me and I will be happy to create something for you (given sufficient time). Everyone is welcome regardless of their avatar type however, please use common sense, for instance if someone has huge wings on and is bumping into or annoying others then politely ask them to remove them. If they do not respond or refuse to comply with the rules within a certain time then you have my permission to shoot them! As the Manager, during events that you are present for, you may log into the Managers Tip Jar where you will receive 100% of tips however, you must be actively engaged in conversation and keeping a close eye on both staff and guests, as well as dealing with any issues arising. If any issues arise that you are unable to deal with, or feel uncomfortable dealing with, then please feel free to contact the General Manger or myself for assistance or advice. You are NOT required to speak on Voice, the exception to this is during the interview process. If you are a man using a female avatar or visa versa, so long as you can do the job I seriously don’t care. You will be provided with gifts and gift cards to give away at some events, and money provided for the money board as and when I can. You may be provided with more of these initially to help with getting people in. You are free to add your own money to the board if you wish. We continuously run photo contests to help bring people in, and I am happy to try any ideas you may have for these, events, or the club in general. Expectations: (These will be reviewed after 3 months) 1.) The ZanderZ VIP group members will increase at a steady and continuous rate. 2.) The ZanderZ staff group members will increase at a steady and continuous rate. 3.) ZanderZ staff will ideally possess a tasteful and positive disposition, and have a good quality human avatar. 4.) Number of events will increase as more staff are employed. 5.) Ensure staff are promoting the Clubs other areas and coming events. 6.) ZanderZ is to be added to all staff profiles. 7.) A calm and mature attitude is to be maintained at all times. 8.) A good level of communication to be maintained with myself and staff. 9.) Attend a weekly meeting with myself and the General Manager either SL Friday or Saturday. Renumeration: L$3000 per week. Plus 100% of tips when filling in for staff. A Manager tip jar can also be provided if you wish while at events. If you are still interested then I would love to hear from you.
