This is a digital issue. PERIOD! So now I am seeing only older homes after abandoning my very small new home - with the 117 prims still. I was excited about the new 300+ prim increase too. But really - those of us waiting have to deal with the less prims? Is this not just a matter of you getting your servers to allow more empty Linden Land per database coding? Get off your lazy buts and do it? You have our premium payment!? I am a former IT database, computer and gps coder and Team Manager. I never dealt kindly with lazy programmers on my team either. Are the Lindens REALLY doing all they can? My knowledge and experience say "no". I decided to make this forum topic because I saw this on You Tube: All new Linden Homes in Second Life More coming soon Oh my, how Second Life is being bragged about to the You Tube masses. If they only knew your negligence? You should be ashamed of yourselves! The Second Life inworld World Map screen shot below was taken right outside the home I abandoned a few days ago. I could probably use a clone code in Minecraft and make 100 villages quicker than your database programmers can get that green sim empty land filled with new Premium Homes? Really now stop BS'ing your Premium members and insulting our intelligence? Get it done already? Adumelial Rothstein est. 2008 P.S. I spend nearly 120.00$ a month on Linden Lab L$. Those of us like me may get a little less generous having to wait for your most celebrated Premium Perks. Start new topic
I am creating a database to track my MP/SL sales and transactions. Is there documentation on the data types LL uses for the fields in the Orders report and Transaction report? I've been searching but can't seem to find anything. I can obviously guess at them by perusing the CSV/XML files, but was hoping there are specific details listed somewhere. ~Sean
So. I'm editing my items, right? Graphics are cranked up and distance/render other avatars is turned way down. Just me. I went to tweak my shape, and now...It's gone. According to Second Life: "Can't find your shape in the database. Oh well!" I am now an egg. Unfortunately, not a sexy egg. How in the heck does one prevent this from happening? Am I able to get it back? I made a notecard of my shape, but what if I lose that too? Pls, help. Thanks.
This isn't NEW news, it has been happening for a least a decade, but it seems to be escalating and with the recent threads about MANY people losing thousands of items from their inventory at a gulp, it pretty much fits in. Today I went over to a venue that opens on the 9th to get a copy of goods to send to bloggers. I had checked and rechecked and RECHECKED my vendors (only two - one fatpack and one gacha) and sent items to an alt who doesn't have modify permissions to make sure things were correct. Like at least an hour worth of checking. The permissions had CHANGED. Both in the copy vendor AND in the gacha (oddly -- or not -- on the same items) HMMMMMM. I was particularly alert to the issues this month (hence checking ONCE AGAIN before grabbing for the group) because last month at the same venue my gacha machine had been replaced by and older version (sort of like a roleback but not of the sim as the correct gacha was brought over and placed) -- one without a script and one with -- again -- wrong permissions. I lost a lot of sales on the opening day and a half until a customer wrote. Yes, I should have checked but was overbooked and working elsewhere. I WILL BE MORE COGNIZANT in the future. So, since there is nothing we can DO about this (including checking several thousand items in stores -- so not going there) I wanted to at least warn merchants that this is happening -- and apparently at an escalated rate. It seems fairly logical to assume this has some connection to the other database issues talked about the last few weeks. Happily I didn't have any items that had become full perm. That's a relief anyway.
