I cannot get UV map textures to load on my DAE correctly when importing into viewer. My process: 1st I tried to use the OpenCOLLADA file extension for 3Ds Max 2014, exported as DAE and imported into viewer. Mesh will upload, but textures are messed up. UV Map info not accepted. *See photos 2nd I tried FBX converter 2013. Saved as FBX and converted to OpenCOLLADA. Tried to import into viewer and I received a DAE parsing error. Can you please help me? Tools: 3Ds Max 2014 FBX Converter 2013

Can someone please tell me or give me a tutorial on how to export my items from Blender to Second Life? I've been looking around and I can't find anything useful.

Hi there, new to the forum. My name's Hier0nimus ig. I've been a second life and blender enthousiast for years already. But now I want to start combining these two interests. I usually make scenes in blender with meshes I download/buy other places. The meshes I buy I play with and modify at will. I would like to know how this works within the second life community , because I noticed a lot of meshes are 'forbidden' to modify or transfer. But it's still unclear to me what these things mean in this context. 1) If I buy a mesh from the marketplace. do I get the .dae file on to my computer? Or just in second life? most vendors say 'This item will be delivered directly to you or a friend in Second Life' Does that mean I ONLY get the thing ingame ? 2) If the mesh is non transferable, what does that mean? 3) What I really want to do is buy some meshes, load them into my blender and make new scenes with them and modify them at will. What do I need to pay attention to to achieve this? Just so I'm not buying useless stuff on the market .... ( I don't have land in SL and am not interested in making scenes ingame) Many thanks to this awesome community

FIXED: I feel a bit silly now but I believe it's because I had made some changes to the topology and forgot to update the uvs Hi, I have tried looking on the forum and I just cannot work out why I am getting this error. I created a skirt in blender, which I have uploaded to second life multiple times for testing and all times it worked fine. Today I have been getting the DAE Parsing Error while uploading. I have the same mesh in a few sizes, the xxs small version was giving me the same error but I somehow managed to fix it (no idea what I did). Now when I try to upload the same mesh but scaled up I get the error. Second life will also let me upload my other LODs fine. I have tried applying scale and rotations in blender, changing the name of the file, exporting it to desktop and I have checked that all the normals are facing in the right direction. I know that exporting it as a .obj then to a .dae will fix the problem but I don't want to have to rig my mesh all over again. I've included a photo of the skirt in blender

Hi everyone, I've got a pretty annoying problem and i do not find any answer anywhere for it. So i'm asking you. I would like to know if someone have experienced the same thing and if you found a solution: I'm building a new mesh. this is my .dea file in marmoset viewer; https://gyazo.com/48add8f96710720c36d421ff0864e41d got 3 material, named: 1 for wall, 2 for windows frame, 3 for glasses. This is how it looks in the preview windows of the latest firestorm release: https://gyazo.com/f2df89bcc4ca996f06f4fcbf494b6d9b So everything seem to be ok for the import (it's the same with or without LODs This is how it looks when I import it: https://gyazo.com/a973b655c4732ffaec14118dd3d3f3c7 UV's are completely broken. What i've already tried to fix this: export in fbx, obj or the entire scene in a new scene (thinking it coud be the scene that is corrupted) : did not work. Tried to link (attach or collapse) and unlink each part and get those imported separatly : did not work Try to rename material, change ID number, having only one material : did not work Tried to upload with and without LODs Tried to import with and without texture Tried in MAX and BLENDER both are not working to change the scene, fbx or obj in .dae that work once it's upload. I do not have any other ideas. I've also tried to see if it was some of the presets in firestorm i could have for texture, but the scale|ratio is 1 as it should be. PRETTY PLEASE help me, this thing is driving me nuts.
