  1. Hello! I'm fairly new to scripting in SL and am currently working on a flying airship-type vehicle using modifiable pre-existing scripts. Part of the plan was to have turrets that are rooted to the ship itself that move with the camera movement of a user, not necessarily the driver. The issue I am having is this: The turret script works properly to rotate the child (which houses the script) when linked with the root, as long as it is not physical. If the object becomes physical, as is the case with the airship when it is flying, the turret script then rotates the whole object (both root and children). I would only like the child object to rotate based on camera movement, even if the entire object is physical. The turret script allows an object to be rotated through the same rotation as the person who clicked the object's camera. Hey there, I am looking to adopt a child IC, preferably a person roleplaying as a daughter or maybe even a son who is between the ages of six and seven, that is fun, active, committed, honest, and trustworthy. On Second Life, I currently roleplay as a 28-year-old female adult avatar by the name of Raylee Sanford, who currently works as a Doctor (OB/GYN) at Cedar Creek Memorial Hospital as well as working at Pinewood Public School as Vice Principal and a Preschool teacher. I am pretty much online Monday through Friday mostly due to my character working IC, though sometimes or when I feel like it, I tend to come online on the weekends. As for the time I come online, that may vary. *FAIR WARNING* As of now, my character has a one-bedroom home in one of the sims in Cedar Creek. I, unfortunately, do not have another room, but I would be more than willing to try my hardest to be rather flexible and buy whatever it is that your character might need ICly as well as moving houses. In real-life, I am a 23-year-old female college student. As of now, I am currently a senior in college, doing my final four classes online as I have been an online college student since I first started attending the college I am going to now.   5. My friend and I are looking for what seems to be an impossible thing to find. We spent about a year roleplaying in Crack Den and Lafourche Crossing, but we took a break together. Now we're looking to revive our characters and the interest in roleplaying again, but can't seem to find anything. If anyone has suggestions, that'd be great. I'm feeling pretty discouraged after searching for a couple days. Important: Text-based roleplay sim Modern day (or close to i), realistic setting Must allow children characters & feral animals (No special powers needed/wanted Preferably para-roleplay, but at least the focus should be on the RP. We've checked out places like Acacia falls. Cedar creek. Santa Ramona. Cocoa bay, elk point... They all either are community-based first with Rp second or don't allow children avatars.
  6. Hello, I'm looking to find or have made a child av carrier that is either a backpack or a sling, similar to RL. I’m thinking it would pose balls for both child and parent. One being the rider and the other bring the walker. Here are pics of two RL examples. Thanks for any suggestions!

I'm currently studying a Certificate IV in Education Support (Teacher Aide/Assistant), and assist students in the classroom once a week for placement. I am happy to help you, or your child, with any work you may have so as to help me gain my experience. The subjects I excel in are Literacy, English, Inquiry and Bounce Back lessons.But I am also happy to help where I can in Maths and other subjects(just be sure to let me know what subjects). The age groups I am currently working with in schools is Grade Foundation(before Grade 1),1, 2,3,4 and 5. However, I did complete every year of my schooling so will do my best to aide in any higher grades. The lessons will be held isl at a library, my place, or if you have your own land, or would rather elsewhere, I am happy to tp over to you. For the younger ones, e.g. your child, I am more than happy to move it to Discord or elsewhere, with your supervision. Because this is intended to be a little business as well, there will be a charge. But fear not, because you do not even need to pay me straight away! The first lesson will be free, and then I will only charge 20L a lesson. That's right, a lesson! Not by the hour!   9. Hello! I came across a vehicles in which the sound comes not from the root prim but from another, for example from a motor. but at the same time in the motor prim, I did not find the script. How to make the sound go from not root prim and from child prim in a link set without an additional script?
  10. Hi, Looking for a fresh start, I stumbled on a multi-sim suburban setup that looks like a good place so far. Currently, I'm by myself on a quarter-sim parcel that I'm not fully using. This place has smaller lots, but they do come with nice houses with enough space. They also have events, what appears to be an active elementary school, and some strong rules in place to make things family friendly. I've been around SL for a long time, occasionally joined groups, but mostly been a loner. Trying to be more social would probably be a good idea. Does anybody have any advice when it comes to these places? Is it a good idea to have a child and a separate adult avatar to take advantage of everything they have to offer, and if so, any advice on playing a strictly G-rated child avatar?
  11. I play an 8 year old child av. I use the Tweenster mesh body. I am finding it very frustrating to find school and classes for me. A lot are mostly for toodleoos and young kids. I have tried many places including HKE. One of my problems is my old computer (no I can't get a new one). So a sim with like 40 kids on it will lag me out bad. I love gymnastics but have not found any consistent classes for that. Also ballet. Some schools actually exclude kids with my kind of avatar (I am 4'5" in SL terms). I"d love to find a smaller grade school. Any help would be appreciated.

  14. So, what I'm looking for might be a challenge to find... it has been for me for a little while... When I first started roleplaying in SL, I could find places that would allow you to play as a child character (Knowing you're an adult behind the keyboard, of course,) but you could also play as a fae, elf, whatever. I've found some cool fantasy, both medieval, and not, that are fun to play in, but not one of them allows a character to not be an adult. It's making me a bit depressed, as I'd love to play my teen fae as I intended. I'm indifferent on what kind of setting, medieval, modern, scifi, whatever. I'd just like to play him as I created him... Any suggestions?

  16. At first it seemed not too difficult to tackle the following problem, but in the end I did not manage to do it. Rotations are the story of my (second) life :-) The problem: I have an object consisting of several prims. When someone touches the object i would like to point one of the childprims to the avatar who touched the object. See attached picture. The rotation of (only!) that childprim only need to be done around in its XY-plane, so only a rotation around its Z-axis. Does anyone has a working solution? Thanks in advance for any help.
  17. Hello, I'm new to second life and I've been trying to find a mesh head for the tweenster female body but I really don't know what to choose. I have a mesh head that would go great it's just that the neck of the tweenster body is too short for it and makes it seem like there is a gap between the head and the body. I would also appreciate if the head didn't cost an arm and a leg since it was hard enough to get 1k lindens for the body it's self. Well that's about it, hope somebody can give me a suggestion.
