Every Sunday at 8 am, we meet to read a variety of books. Tomorrow we are starting on Oracle Bones, a book on Chinese culture. Books are read in voice, so you must be able to hear, speaking is optional. It's a brand new group but we are hoping to grow and meet others who love to read over coffee or tea. We have a group in-world that you can join to keep up on what we're reading and a lovely little reading area. Hope to see you there! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wave/30/64/11

The Town of Philomena's public library is hosting it's book club, Vintage Reader's, May 10 from 6PM SLT to 7 PM SLT. The current novel selection is Edna Ferber's Personality Plus. The Vintage Reader's Book Club holds a meeting once a month to discuss a text from the 1910s or earlier. If you enjoy books, tea, and good conversation then please do stop on by and join us. If you haven't been able to read or finish the book, that is fine. You are still heartily welcome. Cooper's Coffeehouse is a non-profit hangout spot opening soon. In addition to the normal functions of a coffeehouse, there is a 7Seas fishing area with weekly cash prize tournaments, a discussion area for debate or discussion with friends, and a reading room which we hope to stock with Second Life literature and artwork. That's where you can help. We are seeking out artists to showcase each month, as well as including books and other reading materials for our patrons to read. We are already experiencing traffic of around 10-15 visitors daily, and we aren't even open yet. Artists may submit artwork in the form of paintings, photography, sculpture, etc. They will rez and maintain all rights to such works. You will also be permitted to set those items for sale. Authors/Writers may submit works in notecard form or in prim-book form. Artists will be able to rez their books and maintain all rights. You will be permitted to set those items for sale but they must be readable within the cafe as well without sale. Come visit and if you like what you see, click on the suggestion box in the empty room to the right of the main seating area. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lionheart Mufasa/239/117/35
