Hello everyone! When a computer on my network is using Second Life, it causes all other computers/devices on the network to lag to the point of being unusable. While Second Life is being played, I can run a ping to www.google.com and the moment someone moves to a new sim, etc. in Second Life ping response times increase to 2000-3000ms. My internet connection is 1 gbps down, though generally we see around 700-800 Mbps down. I am using the Firestorm viewer. I have tried Second Life viewer as well. I have checked the network settings and set it to 700 kbps. The system that is playing Second Life is exceptionally powerful and is used to stream games regularly in 720p/1080p. Changing settings to reduce draw distance and graphics seems to have very little to no effect. I have tried increasing cache settings to the maximum. To be clear, this happens with Second Life specifically and can be consistently repeated. No other game or application has caused the issue to date. I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this issue. If anyone has any ideas of what I might try or how I might contact Linden Labs support (I can't seem to make a ticket about anything close to this kind of issue), I would genuinely appreciate it.
Hello, I can't seem to resolve disconnection issue over new FTTH connection, before I had ADSL for years, it use to work fine. But after upgrading to FTTH my viewer disconnects every one minute after login, everything loads fine at login, runs smooth, but viewer disconnects after one minute, screen grays out with message, region maybe facing issues, check your internet connection. I have tried bandwidth help tips page on Firestorm website, its not helping, 1500 is not working, nor 500 or anything less or above that. Also, I have tried all viewers, but same issue. My laptop is wirelessly connected to New FTTH home router, speedtest says my connection speed to Tucson, AZ is on average 5mpbs, Please Tell me what should I do, I can't even stay logged in to write my question in any inworld help groups . Also everything else on net works fine .....other apps etc. I think it might be new FTTH router, I have called my ISP, and they say everything is fine on their end. Following is details of my new FTTH router. Please suggest any router or viewer settings that I can do to resolve this issue. Hey Guys! So I'm an old user, trying to revive my over 6 year old account on the same exact laptop it used to run so amazingly on. I've watched a few youtube videos with tricks and tips, which maybe helped about 1% or maybe that's just my optimism.. 🤷🏼♀️ So if anyone here knows of ways they found to work with them, pleasee share! I'm dying with all this lag, it's immense and triggering lol. I have a: Late 2011 MacBook Pro 13"/ macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 with Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB A year or two ago, I had to wipeout my laptop and change the hard drive because it died. I did this on my own and changed my 1TB to a 2TB, since it fit and I thought things would run faster since this is my only laptop I can use. (it sucks, yes i know, macs are the last thing to use for gaming) 🙄🙃 So please, anything is HIGHLY appreciated 🙏🏼❤️✨
