I'm really upset. But I'm not here to rant because I think this was my own fault so I can't blame anyone but myself. I think I just deleted a bunch of important things that were attached to my saved outfits on a lot of my avatars. I was trying to delete a certain item in my trash, so in my inventory, I typed in the name and the item came up, I highlighted it and without thinking, i emptied my trash. I think it deleted the entire trash bin. I don't know. I'm just worried because I've put so much money into making my avatars and now when I change them in my outfits, they're all messed up, alphas are missing, skins, accessories. everything. they're just totally deformed. Is there a way to backlog and undo deleting your trash? I've been on SL for 3 years but haven't actually played until about a month ago. I hardly know what I'm doing, I'll admit that. My inventory is so messy and unorganized and somehow, a lot of stuff ended up in my trash. I don't even know how. And I didn't care that much because i only used my inventory to find something and didn't care where it was located. But that's come back to bite me on the a**. Any help? This really has put a damper on my experience. Like I siad though, it's my fault. thanks for reading.

I can't find a decent viewer for SL that's low on cpu usage. My favorite viewer (firestorm) is just ram hungry and I've spent days searching around for a viewer. I'm currently using the Cool VL Viewer, it works well on my pc (rather, my CRAPtop) but there's one thing that's defiently going to drive me away and that there's no upload screenshot to feed feature. As in, my secondlife profile feed. I asked a question on the forums and the owner said there will *NEVER* be such feature. Whelp, I'm done with Cool Viewer. /sigh. I've read so far that Catznip and Exodus are pretty promising. But neither have been updated in forever. Are they just abanboned? Has anyone had experience with either of them? If so, is it worth it? I just need a viewer that has up-to-date features that isn't a cpu hog. Though I guess it's my fault for having a **bleep**ty pc, huh? Thanks for reading. Suggestions are welcome.

is there a way to make the inventory and outfits tab separate? Having my outfits in my inventory just feels weird after being with firestorm for so long. :catmad:

You can use a sandbox to unpack your avatar. As for textures, they are ready to use and you should be able to load the textures onto the avatar once you've rezzed your avi in a sandbox. Sometimes you will have to rezz each individual avatar part onto the ground in order to load the texture onto it. Try doing that.

Also, how do you merge the local chat and IM's into one chat box? -___- like on firestorm. I can't figure out how to do that either

So I just switched from the firestorm viewer to the cool vl viewer because it's not as heavy on my pc as firestorm and I can't figure out how to enable wasd as a movement control option. I've look everywhere in preferences and if this isn't an option on this viewer I am going to install asap, haha. I can't handle SL without wasd please help!

Hello, I've just got a simple question about how to improve performance in SL. As in speed, I know that I've got a pretty low-end computer (laptop) as I don't expect the best quality out there. Yes, I have browsed around google to find the answer to my question, and naturally a lot of people have asked the same question here on the forums. The answers are just a bit too technical for me. I'm not too tech savvy, but I do know most of the basics. but a dumbed down answer would be appreciated. LOL. i just want to improve my performance, I'm so tired of jumps and low response times it feels so laggy 24/7! Have also fiddled around manually in those settings as well to further lower graphics. Just in case anyone thought I hadn't already done so! EDIT: I did a speed test, it was suggested by a lot of others. I did my speed test from my current location to San Fracisco as it was suggested.
