A lot of other MMOs have a toggle that will allow our avatar to keep moving whicher direction it is facing until you interrupt it. Does Second Life have this? I cannot seem to find it.

Yeah I get it that there are still more names left than atoms in all the stars in the sky. But they all sound weird to me even mine does. I have accepted the fact that it doesn't really matter since we can have a display name.

Is Sansar planned to make SL obsolete?

Where are the Linden Homes if I upgrade to Premium? Are they in a "Sharded" area? Or can anybody stumble across them? Would it be wiser to save the 512 m2 for some mainlad property? Does either option require a rental fee for upkeep? EDIT: I noticed that you are required to name your home when you select it. Can home names be multiple words? Can the name be changed?

I should have said all the good names have been taken. I didn't mean to sound like a troll However, as time goes on, some people will die in first life and not have any use for their Second Life account (although is is pretty cool that your creations can live on forever in cyberspace). Eventually, even all the less desirable usernames could get taken too. But now I don't see a good solution to reusing names since objects are tied to them. Other than something like:DisplayName@AccountName

I forgot to mention that you have to enable "Always Run" in the settings. I think the standard Second Life viewer would be great if they added the two-button-mouse run that Singularity and Firestorm have. I noticed that the standard viewer has double-click-to-move while Singularity and Firestorm do not seem to have that.

Can you downgrade from Premium Member to Free Member? Or do you have to stay a paid member once you upgrade if you want to be able to get in-world?

What happens if we delete our account? Can our username be used again?

Since we do have Display Names, I wonder if LL is moving towards a DisplayName@AccountName model in the future, the way other MMO's have gone. Where the username is not quite so prominent and more people can have the in-world name they want. It would also open the door for multiple Avatars or Profiles. I don't mind being Slade@zantsuken if that is the way they are going.

I tried out Singularity and it has pretty good controls. You can two-mouse-button run by first holding down on your avatar then the left mouse button followed by the right mouse button. They could have simply made modernized controls optional I think.

Almost every combination of keys pressed has been taken. Many old names have not logged in for more than 5+ years. Will LL ever release old usernames? I imagine not if they haven't done so yet. If not, would it be possible to allow us to create usernames with spaces?
