Im creating a group that will help inform newbies to long time residents about free but HQ items from group gifts, mm, minimanias, lucky chairs/letters, hunts, events, etc. I know there are alot of groups for this but I 101% know I can offer something more and different. I also want to get back and help new ones because I was given help when I was too. So I want to ask for tips or ways on how I can reach to more people and grow the group. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi, I was trying to take photos using a projector like from this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eDouons9ODc I use the SL viewer. All settings are maxed. Advanced lighting model, shadows to sun/moon + projectors and complex. What I noticed was as soon as i added the texture, the light and shadows appear like a spotlight but then it fades and disappears in just a sec. Why is this happening? Is it a graphics card issue? Help please.

I tried but still it is same. I'll see later or tomorrow if it will be all okay. If not, I'd ask again. A week ago I was using the old version it was working fine. I just came back to SL so Idk if there were major changes. Thank you.

I'm using broadband (USB). Does that fall under your number 2? By the way, when I haven't yet updated my Firestorm viewer which was a week ago it was working fine. I recently got back in SL too so I have no idea if there were major changes.

I recently downloaded the latest Firestorm viewer. All that loads is the attachments on my ava (hair, flexy skirt,etc.) but the skin and anything else does not. I did rebaked, reset to default female ava, cleared my cache, changed group, changed shape and skin but nothing happened. I see other people grey too except for their attachments. I also tried another viewer like Singularity and another ava but still it is the same. What should I do? How can I fix this?

I recently (last week) installed Second Life. At my first week UNTIL NOW it was working perfectly fine except when my internet conncetion is just so slow. My problem now is my SL Viewer won't open or launch. A boxwould pop-up saying: Loading Second Life... Detecting Hardware... Initiating texture cache... Initiiating VFS... When it gets to this "Initiating VFS..." it doesn't respond and just hangs. It won't launch. BTW, I noticed that this problem started when I connected to the wifi connection of the hotel we have been in. But then again, it launched ONLY once (I wasn't able to play, connection was slow) when I was in there and since that it haven't launched anymore. Do you think there is a connection with that? What do I do? I miss playing SL. :matte-motes-crying:
