  1. Hey there Flaken, I was wondering if you are comfortable letting us know how much you had to pay for the Grandfathered sim. I'm also pricing around and I'm trying to gauge their current value.
  2. So I'm looking to see if someone can recreate a script that I have used once before. it does two simple things, it rolls a dice depending on the values put into it such as two d 6 and so on as needed. the next thing is the dice reads a note card placed with in the prim. when rolled on a different command it rolls the valued dice then adds a value provided on a line inside of the note card together. such as body is 5 and the dice rolls a 6 out of a 2d6 the dice says the player rolled an 11, but the twist is if the character rolled the same results on a defense roll it would be -2 to the result, such as the script already knows to subtract two from the value of five found inside the note card. The script would also know how to do this for another line inside the note card. I've seen the note card set up like this: ****DO NOT CHANGE SPACING ON THESE LINES OR ADD/DELETE LINES**** Total Body 5 Total Mind 5 Total Soul 5 Character Name name the script looks at all three stats and when warn states this information : [22:36] dice: To set a title: /3 title <color name> <title text> [22:36] dice: To remove title: title off [22:36] dice: <color name> can be: white, black, red, green, blue, pink, cyan, purple, yellow, orange [22:36] dice: BMS total is 15 [22:36] insert character name here: Setting HUD name to insert character name here [22:36] insert character name here: BMS total is 15 [22:36] insert character name here: Setting HUD name to insert character name here I'm unaware if the second time it states bms is 15 if there was room in the script to read inside the note card for extra numbers or 'buffs' to be add what it reads or not so yeah it tends to do that for some reason. the way to make it attack is /9da and it does: [22:38] insert character name here has rolled a DA for a total of 9 and to defend is /9dd : [22:39] insert character name here has rolled a DD for a total of 13 so if the same values from attack ( five from the body, 4 from the dice) the defense would have been a 7 for example so I'm looking for something like the above, a dice that rolls standard rolls and then reads a note card to alter how those rolls turn out with fancy spaces to insert names to define how those rolls work. later on in life it would be cool to have a drop down menu that would let you add things like skills and attacks of various natures into it or a physical prim that rotates to a side of the prim where you can select things then hit submit to get the dice to do this fancy foot work. I've seen huds where if you insert a texture or a name on a note card it will create a button ( the illusion of creating a button) and will make an invisible prim visible and then selectable, I think that would be cool. so before I continue to ramble, I have something interesting I'd like to create with someone with the intention of making something interesting out of it later on in life and could use some help and some pricing. I'm not looking for the third thing right now at all but provided that idea with the intent to inform the person I chose to work with that is something I hope they have the ability to do or to inform me that it can't be done. so just the roll and a portion of the script that reads a note card to alter rolls is what I'm looking for some help.
  3. I bought this mesh kit :https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Full-Perm-Mesh-Backpack-with-Animation-and-AO-script-Set-Builders-Kit/3736828 and It came with two versions, pink and blue. Two textures and an unwrapped 'uv' map. Do I save the unwrapped uv map and change its file type to a dea file and use it in photoshop? edit: sorry I was extreamly unclear about my motives on this one, so much for trying to ask things after a jog. what I really need to ask is how do I retexture, the jigsaw bit your talking about is there and its very dificult to retexture on a flat 2d surface. but I think I got my answer, with out the 3d file there is no way to paint over it in the way I want. darn in other words I can only use the texture supplied and tint the colors...yuck
