  1. I have a question. Would mystery boxes be counted for that? I know of a store that puts together such boxes. You pay a set amount and you don't really know what you're going to get within the box until the date comes for the release. It's kinda like a gacha in a way.
  2. I understood the original post. I was adding on to others answers. I felt no need to repeat what was already stated by others. I do understand where the OP's is coming from as well. My statement still stands though. As a creator myself, I do sell items that are modifiable, it just depends on what it is. As a customer, I don't purchase many mesh clothing if they don't have a texture changing hud. I enjoy those. It's the better option to the old fatpack ways. But yeah, I agree with you on the whole tinting thing. They wanted to be able to add onto the clothing though, like adding a rip and such which means editing it offworld iirc.
  3. My private residence has a parcel ban when it's on the ground level, otherwise it's a security orb when I'm in the sky (ban lines don't go up higher then around 300 or 500 meters). I use them due to having people just hang out and live in my home many different times on many different regions, which is a shame as I don't like getting in the way of those who are flying or walking around. The flip side of it is that technically you could fly up above the ban lines, over them then down onto the parcel itself. User ban lines, I'm not sure if there is a limit to how high those go to. (I've only banned my stalkers from my parcels) It always amuses me when someone has their building in the sky but they have parcel ban lines up. As for security orbs, I leave it with 3 or 5 minutes (due to ppl having dead LM's) and it just tp's them away from it (I don't use the ban or temp ban options). I also only do that with my private residence, otherwise it doesn't really matter to me unless it's a store that I'm working on and isn't yet open to the public.
  4. What LL needs to do is fix how merchants block customers. As it stand now, anyone on your ban list is blocked from purchasing from your store. There are those who I've banned (due to them attacking me, threatening me and using racial slurs) but I wouldn't care if they had purchased from me. In the other way, there are people who I want to ban from purchasing from me (they're known for copying items and just changing the color and scripting but everything else is pretty much the same or they are a stalker who I no longer want to see come across my screen). I've had a guy who was blasting my name around the group that I was mainly selling to but they would still purchase items from me. It became a hassle to block them from purchasing from me. Another problem with that is that the only way to block someone from purchasing from you inworld is if you use one of the many vendor systems out there, this is also a double edge sword if the item that you're selling is no copy to you and many don't trust no copy items within a vendor system as they can't see how many are actually it in clearly if the drop box also isn't on the same sim as the vendor (which is also harder as vendors are copy and can be placed at many different locations). I do understand where you're coming from though. Most customer purchase bans are pretty legit while others are petty.
  5. I'm not sure if anyone has even mentioned this and I know that this is an old post. What you're asking for is a double edge sword. Yes someone can break it and yes it may not even look right. But I'm going to assume that you know what you're doing. So when others go to inspect your clothing as they also want to buy it, they'll go to the creators marketplace or inworld store to look for it. They may end up messaging said creator inquiring about the item. Once they see that the item for sale isn't the same as what they had saw on you, they can become upset and lash out at the original creator. This is apart of why some chose to make their items no mod, it's to avoid that headache. It's a reasonable request, just one that many just chose to avoid.
  6. Is the item listed? Does it have a green check mark or is that blank? More then likely you haven't activated the listing yet and that's why it's not appearing on your marketplace store.
  7. Out of my 4 accounts only my main had gotten the email as that's the only account that I sell lindens on and pull it out. Normally I see their emails 2-3 times when they're sent out. You won't have to provide your SS# unless you're pulling cash from the tilia otherwise the only thing you have to do is accept the ToS for the tilia as we use it for MP purchases and linden purchases as well.
  8. The tilia we're already are using for this. I just paid my land tier with my tilia balance, I had cashed out lindens to cover it. It'll still happen just fine but to process the fee, it sounds like we'll have to log onto our tilia accounts to move that USD balance over to whatever place we then want it to go. The cashout fees aren't changing since the last fee increase not too long ago. Another user in the second life commerce group that I am in had found where they had stated the fees. It's still 3.5% on the lindex then another 5% processing fee. Right and the inactivity charge is if the balance itself hasn't increased or decreased since it was put in there for 12 months since the deposit. I gave the tilia ToS a quick scan through but will be reading it more in detail later. You shouldn't be charge a fee as you aren't holding a balance on the Tilia.
  9. The only thing you would have to watch out for is the inactivity but that shouldn't be an issue since your fees will come out every month for premium/land and you'll be adding to it. It's not like the balance is sitting there untouched. You'll won't need to provide anything as you aren't taking the balance from the tilia and moving it to your bank account or paypal. All you're doing with it is using it back within secondlife. Technically we are already using the tilia and they're just pushing out the last few steps. You should be fine and pretty much unaffected by the new change.
  10. Not yet sure if anyone has replied to this yet but we have already been using the tilia all over secondlife. Marketplace purchases have been using it since they had redid how our purchases were made and the tilia is already on our accounts for those that have been cashing it. They switched it over when they had moved where we find the link for the process credit on the account overview. They're now just making it official and doing the last few steps of enacting it.
  11. 3072m2 grassland on a quiet sim for sale. It has 1054 prims with an asking price of 4000L$. I can also rent it out upon request. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Taravista/78/238/45
  12. It was never implied. You're taking it that way because you feel attacked. That's your problem not mine. This whole thread is mainly just an opinion piece and really a good bit of it can be taken as personal attacks if you decide to take it that way.
  13. I never said it was. You're putting words into my mouth that were never there and taking it a bit too personally.
  14. That's good for you and I'm glad that it makes you happy. But in my personal opinion no one should depend on sl as it can be shut down or they can shut down at any given point and what would you do then? You can't really use them as a job reference. You'll have more skills, yes but no reference. It's just my personal opinion, don't take it so personally.
  15. Well one could always just leave on their tilia what LL takes out for land and account fees and take out the rest for whatever you may need it for irl. That's what I do but I also work as well irl so I don't depend on what I make from sales on here.
